Base Class: Monk
Thunder crackled as the countless bodies of the invaders lay scattered at the doors of the monastery high upon the peaks. The battle was over just as soon as it started. Burn marks and sears ran across the bodies and the ground around them as the lone monk centered himself once more. He began counting the seconds since the last flash of lightning as he watched the next wave of invaders climbed the steps with nothing but hatred and rage in their eyes. The crash of thunder. A flash of light. He began counting again.
Technique of the Tempest
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your enemy’s ki when you harness your own. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target: At 3rd level when you attack a creature with your flurry of blows technique you can perform one of the following actions. This must be chosen before any attack rolls:
- Quickened Strikes: You can increase the number of unarmed attacks to 3.
- Lightning Jab: If an unarmed attack hits the creature must make constitution saving throw or be paralyzed until the end of your next turn.
- Thunder Blast: The damage type of your unarmed strikes become thunder damage. The creature must make a Strength saving throw or be pushed back 15
Flowing Current
At 6th level, like the wind you gain the ability to evade at any turn. When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to, until the start of your next turn, gain a bonus to AC equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Meditative Flow
At 3rd level, as a bonus action, you can invoke a technique to enter a prophetic state to regain a number of Ki points equal to one roll of your martial arts dice.
Herald of the Skies
Beginning at 11th level, you gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage, and you have a flying speed equal to your current walking speed whenever you are not underground or indoors.
Be the Storm
At 17th level, you gain immunity to lighting damage. Additionally, when outside, as a bonus action, you can spend 5 Ki points to call a bolt of lightning, which you are struck by. Anyone within 5 feet of you takes 10d10 lightning damage. Once this happens, you enter an empowered state for 1 minute and gain the following benefits:
- You gain a number of reactions equal to your wisdom modifier.
- Your speed increases by 10 ft.
- Your melee attacks deal an additional 3d10 lightning damage.
- You can use your bonus action to cast the thunderwave spell at lowest
