Base Class: Sorcerer
You innate magic comes from your souls' tie to undeath. Whether you yourself are undead from a dark ritual or come from a line cursed to continue after death, you find yourself more like your dead kin rather than the living.
Your power over life and death comes at a cost, your body is pale and in some cases partially rotten. To common folk your undead nature is clearly visible, and you find yourself at the business end of a Paladin's blade more often than you'd like.
Undead Nature
At first level your creature type is humanoid and undead and you gain traits from the undead creature type (60ft Darkvision, immunity to poison and disease, and vulnerability to radiant damage). Necrotic damage heals you, but any other from of healing instead deals damage. You cannot die or be incapacitated from dismemberment or decapitation, if a body part is severed you can reattach it if it is still intact. If the original limb is destroyed you can attach a limb of equal or similar size in it's place.
Friend From Beyond The Grave
Starting at first level you gain a companion of any undead creature equal to 1/2 of your sorcerer level. You can heal your undead servant with necrotic damage. If your servant is destroyed you can reanimate them during a long rest.
Control Undead
Starting at 6th level you can expend 3 sorcery points to choose an undead with a CR of 1/2 of your sorcerer level within 30 ft. The undead must make a wisdom save against your spell save DC. On a fail the undead becomes under your control for 1 hour. After the hour the undead becomes neutral with you, but doesn't listen to your commands. On a successful save the undead becomes immune to the affect for 24 hours.
While under your control the undead creature will follow any commands you it to the best of its ability. As long as it is within 30 ft of you can command it with no action required. It has its own initiative, you control what actions it takes and where it moves. If you don't give any commands, it simply protects itself.
If the undead being controlled has an intelligence of 10 or higher it remembers being controlled and will become hostile.
Making Friends
At 14th level if you cannot cast animate dead you can spend 2 sorcerer point to do so. Using additional sorcery points you can create undead oh higher CR based on the amount of sorcery points you put into creating the undead.
| Sorcery Points | Creature |
| 2 | Ghoul, Spector |
| 3 | Ghast, Poltergeist, Will-O'-Wisp |
| 5 | Mummy, Wight |
| 6 | Banshee, Flaming Skull, Ghost |
| 7 | Allip, Revenant, Wraith |
Masters Aura
At 18th level once per long rest you can, as an action, give all undead under you or an allies control within 30 ft of you add your spell bonus to their attack roll and damage roll for 10 minutes. If a creature within 30 ft dies you gain 3d10 + your spell bonus. If an undead under your control drops to 0 hp while the aura is under affect they gain advantage on their death save.
