Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Most things have an electrical charge, as a Charge Sorcerer you can manipulate and create electrical charges to broaden the range and power of your Lightning attacks. Your origins can come from failed experiments with magnetism, a god or goddess of storms, or even being stricken by a bolt of lightning.

Surge

At 1st level you gain the ability to increase your targets conductivity, enhancing your lightning abilities. When you hit a creature with an attack you can choose for them to be conductive until the end of your next turn. The next time you deal lightning damage to that creature it takes lightning damage equal to your charisma modifier.

Conductive Storm

At 6th level you gain the ability to cause storms of lightning that explode with energy when aggravated.

As an action you create a Conductive Storm in a 10ft radius sphere, the sphere is considered difficult terrain for all creatures besides you and creatures with resistance or immunity to lightning damage. When an attack or effect that deals lightning damage passes through the sphere you can use your reaction cause the sphere to explode with electrical energy. Each creature within the sphere must make a dexterity saving throw or take damage equal to half the damage rolled for the effect or attack. The storm lasts for up to one minute or until it deals a total of damage equal to 5 times your level. If the damage dealt within the storm would exceed the damage maximum you can split the damage between any of the affected targets, a single target can take no more than the damage roll for the storm.

You can have 1 storm active at a time and it requires concentration, however while the storm is active you can concentrate on a spell, the spell and storm would share the same concentration roll.

You can use this ability twice per long rest, you can also spend a spell slot of 2nd level or higher to conjure a storm.

Insulated

Also at 6th Level, you gain resistance to Lightning damage and can spend 1 sorcery point to use Surge once you've run out of uses.

Conduit Sorcery

At 14th level the damage of your surge increases by your charisma level and you gain 3 additional uses of it.

Additionally when you create a conducive storm using a spell level of 3 or more, the radius of the storm increases by 5ft and can deal additional damage equal to your level for every level spell slot higher than 2nd to a maximum of 30ft total and 10 times your level.

Conduction Mastery

At 18th Level you gain immunity to lightning damage and can have up to 2 Conductive Storms active at once, your reaction activates both storms at the same time. Both Storms share the same damage maximum.

Additionally your abilities are so strong they pierce the defenses of any foe. Creatures that are resistant to lightning damage are neutral, and immune creatures are resistant for you.
