Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians aren't usually known for their spellcasting prowess, but those who follow the Path of Arcane Fury have figured out a way to channel their rage into spellcasting.

Spellcasting

When you take this path at 3rd level, you learn to channel your rage into arcane energy, allowing you to cast spells while raging. While you are raging, you can cast spells without breaking your rage.

Fury Surge

At 3rd level, as a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Rage feature to empower your next spell. The empowered spell has advantage on its spell attack roll or saving throw DC, and it deals additional damage equal to your Rage damage bonus. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Arcane Resilience

At 6th level, when you cast a spell of 1st-level or higher while raging, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level + your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). These temporary hit points last until the start of your next turn.

Spellstorm Rage

Starting at 10th level, when you use your Fury Surge feature, you can choose to enter a Spellstorm Rage. While in Spellstorm Rage, your spells cast while raging gain the following benefits:

  • You can cast spells with a casting time of 1 bonus action.
  • You can maintain concentration on one spell, even if you cast other spells that require concentration.

Intense Spellstorm

Starting at 14th level, when you use your Spellstorm Rage, your rage intensifies. While in Spellstorm Rage, you gain the following benefits:

  • When you cast a spell that deals damage while in Spellstorm Rage, the damage ignores resistance and treats immunity as resistance.
  • You can use your Fury Surge feature once more before requiring a short or long rest.
