Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of Steady Focus learn to steady their body to prepare themselves for foes strikes. They are trained to minimize the effectiveness of their enemies attacks, while also using their body against them.
Steady Body
Beginning at 3rd level, you have learned to firmly plant your feet in the ground to ready yourself for attacks. If you don't move more than half of your movement speed on your turn, you gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Wisdom modifier until the start of your next turn. In addition, when you do this, you can attempt to grapple a creature as a reaction to them missing you with a melee attack.
Dexterous Grappler
Beginning at 3rd level, when you make an athletics check to attempt to grapple someone, you can use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier for that roll.
Grappling Endurance
Starting at 6th level, you learn to shrug off blows from creatures you have grappled. Once per turn, when a creature you have grappled hits you with a melee attack, you can reduce the damage taken by an amount equal to your monk level.
Wrestling Fury
Beginning at 11th level, when you use Flurry of Blows, you can replace any number of the attacks with an attempt to grapple someone. In addition, you can make one additional attack on a grappled creature as a part of Flurry of Blows.
Supreme Steadiness
Starting at 17th level, you have mastered the art of withstanding blows and striking back. If you don't move more than half of your movement speed on your turn, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage until the start of your next turn. In addition, when you attempt to grapple a creature as a part of your Steady Body feature, you can also make an unarmed strike against them.
