Base Class: Barbarian
Something I wanna build kinda based off the Oathsworn from whenever that was. Focus on improvised weapons and defense. I wanted to name it the Path of the Juggernaut, but it was too close to something already licensed apparently.
Rough and Ready
You gain proficiency with improvised weapons and can use any object smaller than your size as one. You may use a d10 for all their damage rolls regardless of their size or nature.
In addition, you can use either the Cleave, Graze, or Topple Mastery property for all of your improvised weapons, selecting one at the end of a Long Rest.
Cleave
If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn
Graze
If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Topple
If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Determined Destruction
While your Rage is active, you gain the following benefits.
Throwable Weapons. Your improvised weapons gain the Thrown (Range 20/60) property.
Shattering Strike. Once each turn as part of an attack with an improvised weapon, you can smash it brutally against your foe, dealing extra damage equal to a number of d6's equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You weapon takes equal damage and might break.
Scrappy Defenses
When your Rage is active and you are targeted by an attack, you can use a reaction to deflect the attack with one improvised weapon you are wielding. When you do so, add your Proficiency Bonus to your AC for this attack. If this change causes the attack to miss you, the improvised weapon takes the damage instead.
Never Empty Handed
You may treat any smaller creature that is Grappled by you as an improvised weapon. As usual the DM determines the weapon compatibility and damage of any creature you use. Wielding a creature uses the same limbs used to Grapple it, and you cannot wield more creatures than you have hands for.
Juggernaut
Once per Long Rest, when you enter a Rage, you can also assume the form of the juggernaut. Until this Rage ends, you gain the following benefits:
Strength of Mountains. You can now wield any object or creature your size as an improvised weapon, using a d12 for damage.
Magic Resistance. You gain advantage on any saving throws against spell effects.
Body of Iron. Instead of Resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage, you gain Immunity to them.
