Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

An Umbral Walker is a rogue who has learned to embrace and mould the shadows that they have learned to call home, summoning dark companions to aid in their endeavours.
Made by me for Mikami_27 based on the dandwiki homebrew subclass 'Nebulous Walker'

Blend with the Shadows

At 3rd level, you can perform the Hide action without the need of a Dexterity (Stealth) check, granted you end your turn in dim light or darkness, always succeeding the roll to hide.
While you are hidden in this way, you can only be seen using magical means, blindsight, truesight or tremorsense. Creatures with darkvision are still unable to see you unless they use the other means.
While you are stood in dim light or darkness, you can see every space within 120ft of you as if it were bright light, yet you an still discern what light level these spaces actually are.

Additionally, at 3rd level you can use your cunning action while hidden in dim light or darkness to teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 30ft that is also in dim light or darkness. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency score and regain all expended uses after a short rest.

Shadowcopy

At 9th level, you can use an action to magically manifest a copy of yourself as a shadow in an unoccupied space within 15 feet of you. The copy is a magical, opaque, pitch black copy of you that lasts until it is destroyed, until you dismiss it as a bonus action, until you manifest another copy, or until you're incapacitated. You can communicate with this copy telepathically, although the copy cannot speak and can only convey vague thoughts and ideas. The copy is destroyed if its hitpoints are reduced to 0 or it enters bright light.

The copy has 1 hit point and an AC of 10 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity Modifier, a move speed equal to yours and an immunity to all conditions. It inherits all of your ability scores and proficiencies but starts with no equipment. A creature must make a DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check to see the copy.

The copy follows your orders and takes one of the following actions during your turn.
- The copy can attempt to grapple a creature.
- The copy swap places with a creature that is within 5ft of it.
- The copy can attempt to impose a negative status effect on a creature. The target must make a contested Wisdom (Insight) check against the copy's Wisdom ability score. On a fail, a d6 is rolled. On a 1 or a 4, the creature is Deafened, a 2 or 5, the creature is Blinded and on a 3 or 6 the creature is Frightened. On a success nothing happens.

Manipulate the Shadows

At 13th level you may create a second shadowcopy which is identical in every aspect except for possessing a different set of actions. You can have one copy of each type active at once, but you may not summon more than one of each type.

- The copy can attempt to pickpocket an item from another creature, or place an item on their person without their knowledge.
- The copy can make one weapon attack against a creature.
- The copy can pick up or use an item.
- The copy can teleport up to 30ft to an unoccupied space that it can see.

Void Creator

At 17th level you are so filled with shadow that you can cause it to leak out of your body. As an action, you can create a zone of shadow which covers a sphere with 500ft diameter in magical darkness which lasts for one hour or until it is dispelled as a bonus action, until a spell of 6th level or higher disarms the magic, or until you are incapacitated.
You can choose any number of creatures who can see perfectly for the duration of this feature. While you are in this shadow, the move speed of these creatures is increased by 15ft and they make no noise from moving or casting spells.
You can use this feature once, regaining all uses after completing a long rest.
