Base Class: Fighter
Often remembered by history as great generals and beloved heroes, the Warlord focuses on controlling the battlefield. For a Warlord, battle is a complex game of chess, but the game is not always so evenly weighted or fair. The Warlord issues Commands which allow allies to make strategic moves. Careful use of the action economy and strong communication between allies is critical to the Warlord. Every second counts in the battlefield and the Warlord knows better than most how to get the most out of any opportunities.
Many fighters who follow the Warlord Archetype spend their time outside of combat performing tasks that keep their keen minds active, such as pursuing scholarly ambitions, learning new skills and trades, or navigating the social battlefield of noble politics. While seasoned fighters in their own right, warlords set themselves apart through their ability to lift up their allies, leveraging strengths and covering weaknesses to turn the tide of battle in their favor.
Combining brains with brawn, warlords fight with unusually honed insight, carefully planned tactics, or inspirational courage that makes them a force to be reckoned with on the field of battle.
