Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Weave are unique in their ability to tap into the primal magic that flows through the world. Unlike their kin who rely solely on brute strength and sheer rage, these barbarians weave the raw magic of the world into their fury, becoming formidable warriors who blend physical prowess with arcane might.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the wizard spell list.

you gain the ability to cast spells but only those that hold concentration, you gain abscess to the abjuration and transmutation Wizard spell list

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the wizard spell list. You learn an additional wizard cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Path of the Weave Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your wizard spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell shield and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast shield using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level wizard spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the abjuration and transmutation spells on the wizard spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Path of the weave Spellcasting table shows when you learn more wizard spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an abjuration or transmutation spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the wizard spells you know with another spell of your choice from the wizard spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an abjuration or transmutation spell, unless you’re replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level

Spellcasting Ability

Constitution is your spellcasting ability for your wizard spells, since you learn your spells through study and memorization. You use your constitution whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Constitution modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Focused Fury

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells that require concentration. You can choose from the abjuration and transmutation spells on the Wizard spell list, excluding the cantrips thaumaturgy and shillelagh. This mastery over concentrated spells allows you to maintain your rage while weaving magic into your combat style, amplifying your physical prowess with arcane precision.

Arcane Predator

At 6th level, while you are raging and concentrating on a spell, you gain advantage on all attack rolls against creatures with innate magical abilities or those capable of casting spells, such as dragons, undead, and celestials. The raw fury of your rage, combined with your magical focus, allows you to pierce through the defenses of these mystical beings with heightened accuracy. The arcane energies that flow through you amplify your senses, making you a relentless hunter of those who wield magic.

Mystic Aegis

At 10th level, your connection to the Weave deepens, granting you resistance to all types of spell damage. Additionally, you gain advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects. The arcane energies that you channel during your rage form a protective barrier around you, reducing the impact of spells and making you more resilient against magical assaults. This heightened defense reflects your mastery over the Weave, allowing you to endure and overcome the challenges posed by other spellcasters.

Weave Breaker

At 14th level, while Arcane Predator is active, any creature you hit that possesses innate magical abilities or can cast spells suffers disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws until the start of your next turn. Your unrelenting fury disrupts their connection to the Weave, sowing chaos and weakening their magical prowess.
