Land Soulspark

Soulspark Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you begin to grasp the essence of your own soul and become able to Soulspark and gain the following benefits:

  • You Soulspark on attack rolls of 19 and 20.
  • Landing a Soulspark causes the target to take additional damage equal to [Your Monk level + Your proficiency bonus + Your martial arts die's maximum], remove a level of exhaustion, regain 1 Ki point, and causes you to roll your martial arts die and regain twice that many hit points.
  • Attacks made with Flurry of Blows can Soulspark on attack rolls of 18, 19, and 20.
  • Your next attack after landing a Soulspark has a chance to Soulspark regardless of your attack roll granted you hit your target. Roll your martial arts die after making a successful attack. If the result is 4 or higher, the attack is a Soulspark. If the result is lower, this benefit is lost until you Soulspark again. You have [Monk Level] rounds to chain Soulsparks this way before the benefit fades.

Wholeness of Soul

At 6th level, you further your understanding of your soul and other's souls. You gain the following benefits:

  • Proficiency in the insight skill, and add your martial arts die to your insight checks.
  • Proficiency in Charisma saving throws, and add your martial arts die to your Charisma saves.
  • When you roll a Wisdom save, you can expend a Ki point to add your martial arts die to the roll. You may do so after seeing the results of your roll.
  • Landing a Soulspark against a creature reveals their Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores to you, and tells you if they are proficient in either of those saves.
  • Landing a Soulspark against a creature makes their soul visible to you. For 1 minute the target cannot hide from you, and you know their exact location granted you are both on the same plane.

Refinement

Beginning at 11th level, your ability to Soulspark grows and you gain the following benefits:

  • You Soulspark on attack rolls of 18, 19, and 20.
  • Landing a Soulspark causes the target to take additional damage equal to your maximum number of Ki points, and causes you to regain 1 additional Ki point.
  • Attacks made with Flurry of Blows can Soulspark on attack rolls of 17, 18, 19, and 20.

Devastate Soul

At 17th level, you reach the pinnacle of understanding of the soul and can obliterate them when you see fit. You gain the following benefits:

  • You Soulspark on attack rolls of 17, 18, 19, or 20.
  • Landing a Soulspark turns the attack into a critical hit.
  • Attacks made with Flurry of Blows can Soulspark on attack rolls of 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.
  • When you land a Soulspark you can spend 5 Ki points to double the total damage you would deal.
