From enhancing your fire spells with raw intellect to creating protective barriers of searing heat, your powers grow in tandem with your ambitions. Whether through the scorching insight that shields you from harm or the blazing intellect that unravels the mysteries of fire-related magic, your journey is marked by a continuous ascent toward greatness.
Fiery Savant
2nd-level Emberheart Scholar feature
When you choose this tradition at 2nd level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you already have proficiency in the Arcana skill, you gain proficiency in another skill of your choice from the wizard skill list. Additionally, you learn the Control Flames cantrip if you don't already know it. This cantrip doesn't count against your number of cantrips known.
Emberheart's Resilience
2nd-level Emberheart Scholar feature
Starting at 2nd level, your mastery of fire grants you resistance to fire damage. Additionally, when you cast a spell that deals fire damage, you can add your Intelligence modifier to one fire damage roll of that spell.
Blazing Shield
6th-level Emberheart Scholar feature
At 6th level, you gain two powerful abilities:
- Flame's Aegis. As a reaction when you take damage from a fire source, you can absorb the flames to gain temporary hit points equal to your wizard level + your Intelligence modifier. The source of the fire takes damage equal to half of the temporary hit points you gained.
- Fiery Shield. You can spend an action to create a shimmering shield of fire around yourself, granting you immunity to fire damage and giving any creature that hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of you fire damage equal to your Intelligence modifier. This shield lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required). You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Ember's Wisdom
10th-level Emberheart Scholar feature
By 10th level, your control over fire is unparalleled. When you cast a spell that deals fire damage, you can ignore resistance to fire damage. If a creature is immune to fire damage, it instead takes half damage from your fire spells. Additionally, as a bonus action, you can cast 1 fire spell of 3rd lvl or lower without expending a spell slot. You can use this feature 1/short rest.
Pyromancer's Fortune
14th-level Emberheart Scholar feature
At 14th level, you can channel the full fury of the inferno into your spells:
- Golden Conflagration. When you cast a fire spell that deals damage, you can choose to have it deal maximum damage. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once) per long rest.
- Teleportation of Flames. As an action, you can teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 120 feet. When you teleport, you leave a burst of flame at your previous location. Each creature within 10 feet of that space must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, taking fire damage equal to your wizard level on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. You can use this feature once per long rest.
