Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the surging river are martial artists that focus on internal connection and movement above all else. They can unleash their internal strength after hitting unarmed strikes enough times, have wills that allow them to keep standing when others might fall, and can release their spiritual river to push back enemies.

Crushing Waves Fist Art

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to harness the connection within your body to make your strikes ever more relentless, like the endless flow of a river. The force from your strikes builds up, until it explodes in a burst of power. After every 2 attacks that hit a creature, you burst with power on the next strike that hits that creature. This burst of power can be harnessed in one of the following effects

  • Erosion: The burst of power from your strike grinds away the creature’s armor reducing the creature’s AC by 1
  • Waterfall Crashing: The burst of power from your strike bears down with the force of a waterfall, forcing the creature you hit with this attack to succeed in a STR saving throw or take bludgeoning damage equal to your martial arts die plus your wisdom modifier. The creature takes half damage on a successful saving throw.
  • Endless Flow:  The burst of power from your strike  is harnessed by you to make another unarmed strike against the same creature.

Perfect flow
