Base Class: Barbarian
A warrior clad in black armor wielding a sword too big and too thick to even be called a sword, it's more like a chunk of metal, made to brake and crush whatever is in between its edge and its destination.
Large Weapon
At 3rd level, you can wield weapons larger than you. The weapons must be held by both hands and you become unable of wielding any other weapon, so long as you have it in your hands.
The large weapons deal 1,5x more damage than normal ones, they have a longer reach and their cost is doubled up. Whenever you attack with an oversized weapon you spend 5 feet of movement to do so. If you spend all your movement speed attacking while still having extra attacks, you become unable of attacking.
Wrath
On your 3rd level, you are also able to use Wrath. Whenever you reach half of your maximum hit points, you roll a d4. Each result carries a different effect:
|
1 – Regenerative Rage |
Each turn, after at least one of your attack hits the target, you receive 1d4 temporary hit points. This effect increases by 1d4 each time you roll it. |
|
2 – Unbridled Havoc |
You choose a target. Until this target dies, you receive a bonus damage of a permanent 1d4 +1 result whenever an attack hits. You can reroll the extra damage dice to switch targets. This effect increases by 1d4 each time you roll it. |
|
3 – Bloodthirst |
You can retaliate once per turn against an enemy who hits you with an attack. This works even when you are facing the opposite direction. The number of retaliations you can do increases by the number of additional times you've rolled this effect. |
|
4 – Flurry of Fury |
When you kill an enemy you gain an additional attack or opportunity attack for free, this can happen once per round. The number of extra attacks increases by the number of additional times you've rolled this effect |
Heavy Lifter
When you reach 6th level, you no longer receive movement penalty while wielding a large weapon and the attack limitation. Though, as a bonus action, you can sacrifice half of your movement speed to do a Whirldwind Attack maneuver:
Whirlwind attack: You spin your weapon around you, making one attack roll for each creature around you that you want to attack, you can only hit the nearest creature inside a 3m(10ft) reach. It causes the weapon damage plus modifiers (rage, magic weapon, ability mod, etc) on the first target, and for each target beyond the first the damage reduces one step (2d6 or 1d12 into 1d10, into 1d8 and so forth). The damage caps at 1d6. An enemy using a shield can use its reaction to brace and half the damage on them and subsequent targets.
Blinding Fury
Beginning at 10th level you can go beyond your normal state of wrath. Whenever Wrath is activated, you gain resistance to Charisma, Intelligence and Wisdom tests. As a plus, mind controlling or any sort of manipulation effects are instantly nullified.
In addition, your Wrath roll is now a 2d4, and the effects stack as shown in the Wrath table.
Rage beyond the Grave
On your 14th level you become consumed by your own anger. If you reach 0 hit points while Wrath is still activated, you can keep fighting. Though you still have to roll for your death saves and attacks still give you an automatic fail, you can leech saving throws from your enemies. Whenever an enemy dies near you (range of 5 meters), you remove one failed death save from your Death Saving Throws table.
Also in addition to adding 3d4 to your Wrath rolls, whenever you activate it, you automatically gain all of the effects from the list. When all the effects are active, all your attacks receive the cleave effect. Whenever you attack a crowd of enemies, you deal half the damage to adjacent targets.
During Wrath, you can no longer be dismembered nor have your bones broken.
In addition, if you die while Wrath was still active, you can come back from the dead after a long rest. If your body is profanated during the long rest period, or you are unable to take a long rest in the next 24 hours, you die.
