Base Class: Wizard
Battlemages are Warrior-Wizards that excel when both blade and magic are utilized. In such situations, battlemages have few equals. These adventurers prefer to remain on the offensive, waiting for their opponent to open themselves up for a devastating blow
Martial Proficiency
2nd-level Battlemaster feature
You gain proficiency with Light, Medium, or Heavy Armor and one type of melee weapon of your choice.
Combat Conditioning
2nd-level Battlemaster feature
Beginning at 2nd level, your training in the ways of martial combat has toughened your body. For every level in this class your hit point maximum increases by two. Your spells can scale with either str or int, whichever is higher.
Magia War Arts
6th-level Battlemaster feature
Starting at 6th level, you have learned to channel raw magical power into your melee attacks. When you hit with a melee attack on your turn, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 force damage to the target. Also, if you have the multi atk feature, you may either replace on of those atks with a spell or use a bonus action to cast the spell on top of a successful melee atk.
Magic Aegis
10th-level Battlemaster feature
Beginning at 10th level, you have become adept at warding yourself from attacks. Whenever you are hit with an attack, you can cause one of the following effects to happen:
- When hit with an attack within 60ft, you can use your reaction to spend 2 mana and teleport to the attacker and make a melee attack.
- When hit with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to spend 1 mana and reduce the damage by 1d8 plus your intelligence modifier.
- When hit with an attack within 60ft, you can use your reaction to magically cause the attack to hit another creature within range.
You can use this ability a up to 4 times per combat.
- You now have resistance to your own spell damage.
You may also pick a fighting style.
Blind Fighting
You have blindsight with a range of 10 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you.
Defense
Add a +1 to ac while wearing medium or heavy armor.
Great Weapon Fighter
When you roll for damage with a 2 handed weapon and get a 1 or a 2, reroll that dice and take the new roll.
In the Fray
Level 6 Battlemaster feature
Starting at 6th level, you have learned to use your presence to impose on your enemies and ignore your own spells. When casting a spell that forces a target to make a saving throw, that target has disadv when within 5 ft of you. If you would be caught in that same saving throw (such as with fireball) you have adv on the save and take no dmg on a successful save, with only half damage on a failed save.
Crippling Strike
14th-level Bladesinging feature
Starting at 14th level, your melee strikes now debilitate your target. Once per turn when you hit with a melee attack, you can cause the target to suffer one of the following effects until the end of your next turn:
You can spend 2 Magia to reduce the target's speed to 0.
You may spend 4 mana to force the target to make all attacks and ability checks at disadvantage.
You may spend 2 mana to push the target back 15ft or knock it prone.
You may spend 5 mana to give the target vulnerability to one damage type of your choice.
Magia Absorption
14-th level Battlemaster feature
Beginning at 14th level, your spells can scale with str and int. Killing a target will a spell buffed melee atk (using the bonus action to cast at least a lvl 3 spell on top of an atk) refunds mana equal to your prof bonus.
