Base Class: Bard
Bards of the college of law produce scholars with a great understanding of most systems of law. They are judges, barristers, even private detectives, and of course lawyers, and they excel at both the text of the law and its application.
Most are extremely lawful and agents of the government, but of course, there are some who use their expertise to twist legal minutia and the power of magically binding laws to their benefit.
Bastion of Bureaucracy
Beginning when you first pick this college at 3rd level, you’ve become adept at law. You gain proficiency in calligrapher's supplies and the forgery kit, if you don’t have them already, and you have advantage on Intelligence(History) checks made to recall information or lore about law and bureaucracy.
Law and Order
Also at 3rd level, you are able to channel the efficiency that can only be achieved when everything proceeds exactly as it should. When a creature has a Bardic Inspiration die from you, it can choose to expend the die before it makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw to use 7 + half of the maximum value of the Bardic Inspiration die as the result of the d20 roll. If they have advantage or disadvantage on the roll, this result replaces only one of the dice.
Broker's Deal
Starting at 6th level, you’ve learnt to wield the power of law itself to your advantage. As an action, you may choose a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. It must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or become affected by a lawful contract of binding bardic magic.
Choose one of the spells you have seen the creature cast. At DM’s discretion, you can also choose a non-spell ability that isn’t the Attack action, in which case the DM assigns the ability an appropriate level of spell. You must also choose one of your known spells, of a level equal to the spell you chose or of a level equal to the assigned spell level for the ability you chose.
For the next 10 minutes, the creature can’t use the designated spell or ability, and you can’t use the designated spell. Any attempt to use the spell or ability fails, and if a creature attempts three or more times to use the designated spell or ability, the creature begins taking psychic damage equal to your bard level on each attempt.
Once a creature fails the saving throw, you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Paragon of Law
By the time you’ve reached 14th level, you’ve learnt to become a paragon of order. You can enter this state as a bonus action or an action, and it lasts for up to 1 minute. You immediately gain temporary hit points equal to your bard level, and for the duration, whenever a creature you can see within 30 feet of you is about to roll a d20 with advantage or disadvantage, you can use your reaction to prevent the roll from being affected by both.
You can use this feature once, regaining the ability to use it again when you finish a short or long rest.
