Base Class: Monk
This tradition is often not taught in Monasteries. It is difficult for Monks to find any who would teach this tradition as it is looked down upon for the manipulation of other's Ki. Those that do happen to find one who would teach them this way, or who find a way to teach themselves, gain the understanding of controlling Ki completely. They also understand the connection of a creatures Ki to their Soul.
Often roaming the lands alone, Monks of this tradition find areas that need to be rebalanced. Using their teachings of Ki and Souls, these monks help tyrants learn the err of their ways. By controlling another's Ki, one essentially controls their soul. By controlling another's Soul, you remove their choice to commit evil acts.
Soul Intentions
Starting at level 3, you have started to gain an understanding of how Ki and souls relate to each other.
After touching a creature (to include any unarmed strike) you may use 1 Ki point to gain insight to that creatures soul. You gain the knowledge of the current state of their soul (angry, happy, frightened, etc.)
After gaining this knowledge, you may spend 2 more Ki points and a bonus action to probe deeper into the intentions of this creature. If you probe deeper, the creature must succeed on a CON saving throw. If it fails, you gain a deeper understanding of its intentions. Why it is in its current state, and its true intentions towards you. If it succeeds, it successfully blocks your Ki from gaining this understanding. Either way, the creature feels you trying to probe into it's soul.
Soul Tether
By level 6, your understanding of Ki has granted you a way to tether your soul with another creatures Ki.
After an attack, you may use 4 Ki points to tether another's soul to you. They must make a DEX saving throw. If failed, their soul is pulled and intermingled with your own. Half of any damage taken by yourself can be directed to the being whose soul you have tethered. They cannot divert damage to you. If target takes damage this way, they can make a CON saving throw to try and break the tethered connection. While tethered, you are considered to have partial control of the creatures soul. (Concentration)
Soul Siphon
At level 11, your teachings and experimentation have shown you that Ki is nothing more than energy to be manipulated.
After a *successful* attack, you can spend a bonus action to roll an additional 3d8 for damage, as well as healing to your character. Roll 1d4 and add the total to your remaining Ki pool. Any health above your maximum gets added as temporary hit points (doesn't stack). (Once per long rest)
Soul Drain
As of level 17, the Ki of others is yours to control. If they will not act as they should, you shall act for them.
After an attack, you may use 7 Ki points to drain the target of their Ki. Target must make a CON saving throw. On a success, the target's HP drops by 1/4. If a fail, their HP drops by half, but if their current HP is 1/4 of their Max HP, then instead their HP drops to 0 and you absorb their Soul.
The target does not fall unconscious, but instead, the body is an empty husk that no longer takes actions, bonus actions, reactions, movement, or respond to any action taken towards them or words spoken to them unless it is an order given by the entity that controls their soul. If their soul is not released within a month, it's will is crushed and you permanently absorb their soul. (Twice per long rest)
Soul Control
From level 17 and beyond, controlling another's soul now comes as natural as walking to you. You shall ensure that evil doers and those with ill intentions will not act on them.
As an action, command a target whose soul you have partial or full control of. If target is tethered, or you have siphoned some of their soul, the target gets a CON saving throw to see if they follow the command or not. If the target has had their soul drained, there is no saving throw, the target must comply with the orders given. The command can be for the targets full turn, to include movement, action, bonus action, and reaction.
You may not have control of more than 3 souls at any given time (not to include your own).
