Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The battle couple is a pair of paladins who have sworn an oath to each to stand by each other no matter the threat. As foes surround them, the battle couple stands back to back protecting each other and inspiring their allies with the depth of their commitment. The couple connection can be romantic, platonic, familial, or something else entirely, but it must be truly and transcendentally close. If a member of the couple dies, the other loses their subclass features for a week or until the dead member returns to the living. After that week, they may choose a different Paladin subclass. If the member is resurrected, the player may choose to switch back to this subclass.

Note: This subclass is imagined as a pair of paladins, but if the DM allows one paladin may take this subclass and choose a member of the party to the other member of the couple.

Tenets of the Battle Couple
