Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of the Hidden Blade are masters of stealth, precision, and subterfuge. They train in the ancient arts of shadow and silence, learning to strike unseen and vanish before their enemies can react. This path emphasizes the balance between martial prowess and the elusive nature of a predator moving through the darkness. Those who walk this path are skilled assassins and elusive spies, striking fear into their enemies and serving as silent protectors of their allies.

Path Features

3rd Level: Shadow Strike When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain the ability to harness the power of shadows to strike with deadly precision. You can use your bonus action to become invisible until the end of your turn. While invisible this way, your attacks with Monk weapons or unarmed strikes deal an extra 1d6 damage. This damage increases to 2d6 at 11th level and 3d6 at 17th level.

3rd Level: Shinobi At 3rd level, your training allows you to channel your ki through traditional ninja weapons. Short swords and daggers are considered Monk weapons for you. This means you can use these weapons with your Martial Arts feature, and you can use your Dexterity modifier instead of Strength for attack and damage rolls with them. Additionally, when you use a short sword or dagger as part of your Flurry of Blows, you can make an additional attack with it.

6th Level: Silent Steps Your training in stealth allows you to move without making a sound. You can use your action to cast the pass without trace spell on yourself, without requiring concentration. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once) and you regain all expended uses after a long rest.

11th Level: Vanishing Strike When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack or an unarmed strike, you can use a bonus action to immediately take the Hide action. If you are in a location where you could hide, you can attempt to become invisible until the start of your next turn or until you make an attack or cast a spell.

17th Level: Ghost Walk You have mastered the art of becoming one with the shadows. You can use your action to cast shadow of moil or greater invisibility on yourself. When you use this feature, you may choose to expend a ki point to cast shadow of moil or no ki point to cast greater invisibility. This feature can be used once per long rest.

17th Level: Iaijutsu Strike You master the art of the lightning-fast draw and strike, a technique known as Iaijutsu. When you are wielding a short sword or a sword (such as a longsword or a katana) and make an attack with it, you can use your action to perform an Iaijutsu Strike. This feature can be used once per long rest.
