Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Samhain seeks to weaken the ream of the living and open it fully to the underworld of the dead, even if your character does not. He ceaselessly works to pervert the eternal cycle, plotting to see that souls never fins rest, and that the flesh that contains them roams eternally free. It is said the when Samhain has managed to return all that has died to the realm of the living, when there are no more souls in the underworld, he will ascend to the long empty thrones of the forgotten first gods and take up their power as his own. Those who strike bargains with Samhain can blight the living and wield spirits as weapons.

Call the Wayward

Starting at first level, you can call upon the spirits of the recentky dead to aid you in battle. As their souls depart their bodies, you can intercede to block their passage toward their eternal rest. When a living creature you can see dies, as a reaction, you may beckon their spirit to you. These spirits are temporarily bund to you, and nothing short of you choosing to release them or you death can severe that bond.  You may then use the power of bound spirits to fuel other abilities granted to you by Samhain.  You can bind a number of spirits to you equal to your charisma modifier.

Light Jack's Lantern

At 6th level, when you create undead allies through spells such as animate dead or create undead, you may force the spirits bound to you into the flesh or bone of the undead you create.  Undead animated in this way add your proficiency bonus to their armor class, attack roles, and damage rolls, roll saving throws using your saving throw modifiers instead of their own, and add half your warlock level to their hit points.  In addition, if a creature takes damage from your undeads' attacks, you may target them with blight the living.  Creatures affected by this ability glow from their eyes and mouth and cast dull light to a range of 10 feet. Spirits used to empower your undead allies escape your bond if the spell that animated them ends or their undead hosts are destroyed.

Gaze Through the Veil

At 10th level, the spirits bound to you continually murmur secrets about your enemies. Normally, their whispering is barely audible, and only you can hear them. However, as an action, you may target a creature within 60 ft while reaching out to one of your spirits and command it to speak aloud the dark secrets it has learned. The revelation is harrowing, and your target must succeed at a wisdom saving throw or be afflicted by your choice of one of the following conditions: Blinded, Deafened, Frightened, or Stunned.  This condition lasts for one minute. Once the spirit speaks aloud the secret, it is no longer bound to you.  At the end of its turn, your target may attempt a Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the condition ends. However, as a reaction, when a creature attempts a wisdom saving throw against gaze through the veil, you may cause it to attempt this saving thrown with disadvantage by calling for your spirits to shout more dark secrets. Doing so momentarily distracts you, and one of your bound spirits escapes.

Power the Dark Art

At 14th level, you can feast upon the spirits bound to you, drawing their energy into your. As an action, choose any number of spirits to consume, destroying them. Then, choose any of the following:

Physician, Heal Thyself: Regain a number of hit point equal to 1d6 + your Charisma modifier per spirit consumed.

Deadeye: Grant yourself advantage on attack rolls for a number of rounds equal to the amount of spirits you consumed.

Soul Magic:  Cast your next spell without expending a spell slot by consuming a number of souls equal to the level of the spell.

This feature is taxing. Once it is used, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.
