Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The open sea is the angler’s arena, as the fish they hook at the end of their line can be cemented in history as legends. This kind of heart and style is the foundation of the Battle Angler, who takes their fight with their fish to the enemies on the battleground.

Rigged Weapon

(Special - 1/Any Rest). You are able to convert a melee weapon of your choice into a rigged weapon.
· After spending 1 hour working with the weapon, your weapon gains the Reach property, adding 5 ft. to your reach when you attack with it and determining your reach for Opportunity Attacks (to a maximum of 10 ft.).
· If a creature other than you attempts to use this weapon, it breaks, becoming unusable until you fix it with this class feature, restoring it to before it was broken.

Catch and Release

When you successfully hit a creature with an attack made with your Rigged Weapon you can push or pull the target up to your Rigged Weapon’s reach.

Tug

(Special - Proficiency Bonus/Long Rest). When you push or pull a Large size or smaller creature with your Catch & Release class feature, you can also knock the creature Prone.

Overcast

Whenever you use an Action Surge, you double the reach of your Rigged Weapon until the end of your round, and your next Attack Roll is made at Advantage.

Hook, Line, and Sinker

Your hooked foe can be as deadly as any weapon.
When you use your Catch & Release class feature, you can pull or push creatures into another creature. If you do so and use your Tug class feature, both creatures are knocked Prone if they are Large size or smaller, and both take Bludgeoning Damage equal to your weapon’s Ability Score Modifier.
.

Tournament Tug

Your angler techniques not only can land big fish but big foes as well.
You are no longer limited by creature size when you use your Tug or Hook, Line, and Sinker class features.

Improved Combat Superiority

Fish and foes fear you alike.
(Special - 1/Any Rest). Whenever you make a successful attack with your Rigged Weapon, you can choose to have a creature make a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC 18).
· On Failure: The target is Paralyzed until the end of their next round.
