Base Class: Fighter
You are the Fateless One, a being of unparalleled power, foretold in the forbidden manuscripts eons ago. Physically, you are not too different from others, but you possess the unique ability to physically unravel and weave the threads of fate that bind us all to an unavoidable destiny. You do not have a place in the threads, which allows you to change the fates of those around you.
Fateshift
Starting when you choose this subclass at 3rd level, when you reduce a creature to 0 Hit Points, they enter “Fateshift” mode. While in “Fateshift”, they stay in a state of suspended animation until you interact with them, while the threads of fate tied to them unravel and float away in the form of wisps of energy. After about 1 minute, the threads of fate will have finished unravelling, and the creature will die. When you are within melee range, you can take a bonus action to perform a “Fateshift” attack on them, forming the threads of fate around them into a weapon of your choice and finishing them off with it. This recovers your Hit Points by 1*Your Level and grants you a Fate Point. This improves to recovering your Hit Points by 2*Your Level and granting you 2 Fate Points at 15th level.
Fate Points
When you choose this class at 3rd level, you gain access to Fate Points. They don’t do much yet, but these will be the key to all the abilities you will gain. Your maximum Fate Point total is equal to your level.
Unwritten Fate
When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, your fate is unwritten, and no power in the world can read it again. Any ability that would allow others to see your future does not work, including those that would allow others to predict your next movements in combat.
Fated Authority
At 7th level, you can command the threads of fate to weave themselves in your favour. When you roll a d20 for a check, save, or attack roll, you can expend any number of fate points to add that number to the roll. Additionally, you can expend 3 fate points in addition to the number of fate points required to raise the roll to 20, the roll is then treated as a natural 20, guaranteeing success.
Fated Strike
At 10th level, you can use your accumulated fate to unravel the fates of others. When you roll for damage, you can expend one fate point, raise the damage roll by the number of fate points that remain.
Fateshift EX
At 15th level, your powers have evolved, allowing you to absorb more from the threads that bind others. As stated on the 3rd level feature, you now recover 2*your level when you fateshift someone, and gain 2 fate points for doing it. In addition, when you use Fated Authority or Fated Strike, you can roll a d20, then gain a fate point if the number rolled is higher than the number of remaining fate points.
Fateweaver
At 18th level, you can imbue yourself with the power of your accumulated fate. You can expend 5 fate points to enter “Fateweaver” mode. While in “Fateweaver” mode, you gain advantage on all saves, and you do not need to expend fate points to use Fated Strike. In addition, when you use Fated Authority, you raise the number by 2 for every fate point expended. At the start of every turn, you lose 1 fate point. If your fate points are equal to 0 at the start of your turn, “Fateweaver” mode ends. All creatures slain by you while in “Fateweaver” mode are automatically Fateshifted, no bonus action required.
