Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

This Starforged Fighter Subclass maintains the balance of radiant damage boosts and celestial effects while using extra attacks as the core damage method. The ethereal step, radiant strikes, and summoning abilities ensure that the subclass remains versatile in combat situations, and the scaling Astral Points help to balance the frequency of their powerful abilities.

Starlight Summoning

While the stars are present, you can use a bonus action to summon one of the following celestial objects from the constellations:

  • Celestial Sword: A greatsword that deals an additional 1d6 radiant damage.
  • Stellar Bow: A longbow that deals an additional 1d6 radiant damage.
  • Astral Shield: A shield that grants +2 AC and, when summoned, provides an additional +3 AC for 1 minute.

You can summon one object at a time, and summoning another replaces the previous one. The celestial weapon remains until dismissed or replaced. You have 2 Astral Points, which are replenished after a short or long rest. Summoning a celestial weapon costs 1 Astral Point.

Radiant Strikes

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack using a celestial weapon, you can expend 1 Astral Point to deal an additional 2d6 radiant damage. This ability can be used once per turn. At higher levels, this radiant damage increases:

  • 3d6 at Level 10
  • 4d6 at Level 15

Celestial Step

You can briefly enter the Ethereal Plane, avoiding attacks and danger. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 Astral Points to phase into the Ethereal Plane until the start of your next turn. While in the Ethereal Plane, you cannot be targeted or damaged by creatures in the Material Plane, and you can move through objects as if they were difficult terrain. You return to the Material Plane at the start of your next turn, occupying the nearest unoccupied space to your previous location.

You can use this feature twice per long rest.

Starbound Flight

When you are in dim light or darkness, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed + 10 feet. While flying, ethereal wings of stardust shimmer behind you, giving you enhanced mobility in combat. If you are in bright light, your flying speed is reduced to your walking speed.

Moonlit Mastery

You harness the power of the full moon, enhancing your combat capabilities. When you use Starlight Summoning, you can choose to summon the moon along with the stars. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for another 30 feet.
  • You add your Intelligence modifier to any radiant damage you deal.
  • Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier). On a failure, the target is stunned until the end of your next turn.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Ascendant Star

You become a living conduit of celestial power. You can activate Ascendant Star as a bonus action, causing you to radiate star-like energy for 1 minute. While in this form, you gain the following benefits:

  • You deal an additional 1d6 radiant damage on all weapon attacks (this is in addition to Radiant Strikes).
  • You have resistance to all damage except force damage.
  • At the start of each of your turns, you regain hit points equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1).

You can use this feature once per long rest.
