Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

Artificers of the Augurist subclass are the ultimate seers of the technological age. They combine the ancient art of divination with cutting-edge devices that enhance perception and predict outcomes. Whether acting as a scout, a spy, or a tactician, the Augurist leverages their inventions to see what others cannot, providing invaluable insights and tactical advantages to their allies.

Augurists often find themselves at the center of intrigue, uncovering secrets, and outmaneuvering opponents with their keen senses and predictive devices.

Eyes of the Augury

When you select this subclass at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Perception and Investigation skills. If you are already proficient in these skills, you gain expertise instead (your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with these skills).

Divination Devices

Also at 3rd level, you can use your tools to craft small, divination-enhancing devices. You learn the detect magic and identify spells, which count as artificer spells for you. You can cast these spells without expending a spell slot and without preparing them, but they can only be cast using these devices a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Augur's Insight

At 5th level, you have developed devices that can predict outcomes and reveal hidden truths. As an action, you can gain advantage on the next Intelligence (Investigation), Wisdom (Perception), or Wisdom (Insight) check you make within the next minute. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once) and regain all expended uses after a short or long rest.

Technological Clairvoyance

Also at 5th level, you add the clairvoyance spell to your spell list, and it counts as an artificer spell for you. When you cast this spell, you can choose to see or hear through your devices, which can be placed discreetly in an area.

Sensory Overclock

On reaching 9th level, you can use your devices to enhance your allies’ senses temporarily. As an action, you can choose a number of creatures equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of one) within 30 feet. These creatures gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks for 10 minutes. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Mystical Interference

At 9th level, you can manipulate the sensory input of your enemies. When a creature within 60 feet of you makes an attack, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack roll.

Foresight Device

At 15th level, you have created a powerful device that grants you glimpses into the future. As an action, you can activate this device, gaining the effects of the foresight spell for 1 minute. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Augur’s Command

At 15th level, when an ally within 30 feet of you is about to roll a d20, you can use your reaction to grant them advantage on that roll, as you guide their actions with your divination devices. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once) and regain all expended uses after a long rest.
