Druid
Base Class: Druid

Prerequisites: This is a Prestige subclass that must be earned in game or taken by a Druid who has previously reached at level 20. You must have more levels in this than any other class and cannot multiclass into another prestige class.

Most druids use their connection to nature to transform into various fauna. Those in the Circle of Roses focus instead on their connection to plant life and suffuse their bodies with various seeds. They channel their energy into these seeds, causing flowers to bloom and other plants to spread across your body. These druids can further empower the petals from these flowers to create powerful armor or swarms of razor-sharp blades that can strike at a distance.

Their power is respected and feared by other druid circles. They are mission-oriented, typically dedicating their life to a single cause. The Circle of Roses are heavily focused on combat and often serve as imposing guardians of natural wonders or even other druid villages. The flexibility of their plant-infused bodies can make them to switch between being nigh-indestructible and incredibly deadly. Unlike many other druids, members of the Circle of Roses have no objection to wearing metal armor as they prioritize the success of their mission above all else.

Circle Spells

2nd-level Circle of Roses feature

Your link to flaura grants you access to certain spells. At 2nd level, you learn the entangle and floating disk spells.

At 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, and 17th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Roses Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Constructs created or summoned by a Circle of Roses Druid's spells, such as floating disk, spiritual weapon, spirit guardians, fabricate, resilient sphere, arcane hand, and blade barrier, are often made of petals or flowers.

Floret Form

2nd-level Circle of Roses feature
You gain the ability to channel magic into the seeds within you, causing flowers to blossom and other plants (of your choice) to spread across your body. The flowers can shed their petals, which you can make as strong as steel or as sharp as a blade.

As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to awaken those seeds, rather than transforming into a beast form, to transform into your Floret Form and you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to 10 times your proficiency bonus. When you activate this feature and at the start of each of your subsequent turns while this feature is active, you can choose one of the follow benefits:

  • Rose Armor: While not wearing Heavy Armor, you can increase your armor class (AC) by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus.
  • Distant Thorns: You can increase the range of your melee weapon and spell attacks to 30 feet.
  • Petal Blades: Once per turn, you may deal additional slashing or poison damage (your choice) to any target you hit. This damage is a number of d6 equal to your proficiency bonus (no action required).

These benefits last for 10 minutes, until you lose all these temporary hit points, or until you use your Wild Shape again.

The bonus to your attack range increases to 60 feet at 10th level.

RULE TIP: TEMPORARY HIT POINTS DON'T STACK

If you have temporary hit points and receive more of them, you don’t add them together, unless a rule says you can. Instead, you decide which temporary hit points to keep. For more information on temporary hit points, see chapter 9 of the Player’s Handbook.

Shield Blossom

6th-level Circle of Roses feature

You've gained additional control over your petals, allowing you to shield those who are in danger. Their armor class increases by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus until the end of the turn. You cannot benefit from a bonus to your armor class from the Rose Armor ability of your Floret Form while this is active.

You can use this ability while outside of your Floret Form.

Improved Floret

10th-level Circle of Roses feature

Your Floret Form has begun to blossom. When you manifest your Floret Form, you instead gain Temporary Hit Points equal to 15 times your Proficiency Bonus. In addition, the range of your Distant Thorns ability increases the range of your melee weapon and spell attacks to 60 feet instead of 30 feet.

Petal Storm

14th-level Circle of Roses feature

You gain complete mastery over your petals, allowing you to devastate all of your enemies. When you take the Attack action in your Floret Form, you can attack all creatures of your choice that you can see within a 20--foot cube with each attack.
