Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Rangers are known for blending into the shadows, taming animals, sharpshooting with bows, and hunting. Meanwhile you like punching things, wasting your magic so you have a chance of punching harder, and savoring that hit of dopamine you get whenever you FINALLY get a Jackpot on your "Unreliable Lottery" despite the rest of your party already being on the verge of death because you are dead weight around 80% of the time.

Unreliable Lottery

At 3rd level, you can choose to expend a spell slot immediately after dealing bludgeoning damage to a creature within 5 feet of you. Doing so allows you to roll 3d8, there are various effects that can happen depending on the result. ( see below )

No Matches - Nothing happens, congrats you've wasted a spell slot.

Two of a kind - Has a specific effect depending on what number you get two of.

Two Ones ( Snake Eyes ) - You regain a spell slot.

Two Twos - You and the creature you hit gain the burning condition. 2d6 fire damage is dealt at the beginning of each of your turns until the fire is put out.

Two Threes - You are under the effects of the spell "Blade Ward" until the end of your next turn

Two Fours - You have advantage on your next weapon attack

Two Fives - You can add a d4 to your next attack roll

Two Sixes -  You regain a spell slot

Two Sevens ( Mini Jackpot ) - You deal an additional 2d4 to the creature you just hit.

Two Eights - Bludgeoning damage dealt by you is now magical until your next short/long rest.

Three of a Kind - Has specific effects depending on what number you get three of.

Three Ones - You heal 2d10 health

Three Twos - You regain a spell slot

Three Threes -  The creature you hit does a dexterity save to resist falling prone. If they succeed you immediately fall prone.

Three Fours - You get +4 to your Strength modifier until the end of your next turn

Three Fives - You get an additional action

Three Sixes - You are under the effects of the "Dodge" action until the start of your next turn.

Three Sevens ( Jackpot!! ) - You have triple advantage for everything until the end of your next turn

Three Eights - You regain all uses of spell slots

Lesser Magic Pool

When casting a leveled spell you MUST consume 2 spell slots instead of 1.

Next time use Unreliable Lottery instead.

Idiot.

I Could Stop At Any Time

At 7th level, you gain the ability to reroll one or more of the d8s in "Unreliable Lottery" at the cost of adding one level of exhaustion.

Additionally, rolling three of kind with "Unreliable Lottery" instantly removes a level of exhaustion.

This has a maximum usage of 5 times and while I heavily recommend NOT using all 5 you do you

Crapshoot

At 11th level, you gain 2 charges of "Crapshoot" per short rest.

Crapshoot is a special action you can take whenever you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack you can choose to roll a DC 5 {+ targets AC } perception check. If you succeed the creature you hit gets the wind knocked out of them and cannot speak for an amount of rounds equal to your Proficiency Bonus  Additionally their movement speed is reduced by 10 ft. for the same duration. However if you fail, you have disadvantage on saving throws until the start of your next turn.

All or Nothing

At 15th level, You can turn ANY d20 roll made by you into a "d2" twice per long rest. This costs every single available spell slot you have as well as making your next roll either a critical success or a critical failure. You call heads or tails ( even or odd if you still choose to use a die ) if it lands as you predicted you crit on your roll and regain all expended spell slots. If it doesn't land on what you called then you crit fail and you are left without ANY spell slots.
