Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

This Order of Blood Hunters serves House Vol, answering directly to Lady Illmarrow.

They specialize in bloodmancy and necrotic damage.

Rite of the Blood

When you join this order at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of the Blood as part of your Crimson Rite feature. When you activate the Rite of the Blood, the extra damage dealt by your rite is nectoric damage. Additionally, while that rite is active on your weapon, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your weapon's reach extends by 5ft. as a blood blade extends from it when attacking.
  • You have resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.

Curse Specialist

Starting at 3rd level, you learn to master blood curses. You gain an additional use of your Blood Maledict feature. In addition, your blood curses can target any creature, whether it has blood or not.

You gain an additional use at level 10 and 18.

Bloody Improvement

Upon reaching 7th level, you learn how to physically improve your body by manipulating your own Blood, gaining the following benefit:

  • Your hit points maximum increases by 1 for each Level you have in this class (also works retroactively).

Brand of Sundering

Starting at 11th level, your Brand of Castigation exposes a fragment of your foe’s essence, leaving them vulnerable to your Crimson Rite feature. Whenever you hit a creature with a weapon for which you have an active crimson rite, you roll an additional hemocraft die when determining the extra damage from the rite. Additionally, if a branded creature has the Incorporeal Movement trait or a similar feature, it can’t move through creatures or objects while branded.

Perfected Blood Control

Starting at level 15, you learn to execute your Crimson Rite without wasting the vitality you expend to activate it.

Whenever you activate the Crimson Rite on a new weapon, you gain an amount of Temporary Hit Points equal to half the damage taken for the activation + your Hemocraft Modifier.

In addition, you can't be disarmed if a weapon you are holding is currently infused with your Rite of the Blood.

Curse of the Bloodthirsty

Upon reaching 18th level, you learn a new exclusive Blood Curse.

Blood Curse of the Bloody King: As a Bonus Action, you can target one creature within 60 ft. and attempt to drain its Life Essence with each attack. The target must succeed a Constitution saving throw and, if it fail, any attack you make that hits the creature restores your HP by an amount equal to half the damage inflicted.

Amplified: The target has disadvantage on the Saving Throw and, regardless of the outcome, you gain advantage to all Attack Rolls against that creature until the end of your turn.
