Base Class: Monk
Monks from the school of The Path of Infinite Mindfulness strive to cast away the constant worries over the past or trepidation of the future. Their goal is to master dwelling fully in the present, experiencing the totality of each infinitesimal step in the ever changing flow of the present. They learn from the past but don’t worry about what might have happened. They contemplate the future, but don’t obsess over endless possibilities. They seek mindful mastery of the present.
Path of Infinite Mindfulness
Clarity of Focus: When you choose this tradition at 3 level you will have mastered clarity of focus. You gain the following benefits:
You gain advantage on Perception checks due to your clarity of focus.
As a bonus action you can spend one key point to activate an advanced Patient Defense (Dodge). This version of Patient Defense will last for 1 minute due to your clarity of focus.
Harmony of Purpose
At sixth level your mindfulness has advanced to expand beyond a basic clarity of focus and you now act in harmony with your surroundings.
Defense: You can now perceive changes in the moment such that opponents you can sense all telegraph their actions for you to read. As a bonus action you can spend Ki points to increase your armor class (one point for each Ki point expended). You cannot expend more Ki than your wisdom modifier for this ability. The ability lasts for one minute
Counter: As a reaction, you can expend a Ki point and attempt an unarmed strike to counter a spell being cast from within melee distance. If you hit, the caster must roll a CON save versus your Stunning Strike DC. If they fail the spell is interrupted.
One With Your Surroundings
Beginning at 11 level you have learned to unconsciously process all your sensory input. You gain the Alert feat.
Infinite Now
At 17 level, you have mastered Infinite Mindfulness. Your perceptions have reached a level of total gestalt in the moment. You can expend 9 Ki points to gain Foresight . For the duration, you can't be surprised and have advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. Additionally, other creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against you for the duration.
