Base Class: Monk
Some constructs live their lives with the sole purpose they were made for, others rebel against their creators but ultimately lose their purpose. However, sometimes a construct will truly awaken, gaining a glimpse of a supernatural force known only as the Iris, or the Artificial Soul. Monks that dedicate their lives to become one with the Iris are peaceful avatars of balance, aiming to help whoever they can, while not being afraid to fight for what is right.

Orbs of Destruction
3rd-Level Way of the Iris feature
You manifest a ring of orbs made from your Ki that mystically orbit around your neck, you can't be disarmed of them and they have the following properties:
- These orbs function as a ranged weapon. You fire an orb in a straight line out from your palm with a range of 30/60 feet.
- They count as a monk weapon and you are proficient with them.
- They use your wisdom modifier for attack and damage rolls, and deal your Martial Arts die in force damage.
- When making your Flurry of Blows attack or your bonus action unarmed strike, you may attack with the orbs instead.
- The orbs inherit any bonuses your unarmed strikes normally have. (Ex. +1, +1d10 damage, etc.)
Harmony and Discord
3rd-Level Way of the Iris feature
You can further imbue your Ki into your Orbs of Destruction. This additional energy causes the orbs to temporarily transform into a positive or negative form.
Orb of Harmony
You may use an action and spend 1 Ki point to imbue an orb with positive energy for 1 minute. When you do so, choose one willing creature you can see within range of your orbs. You send an orb to them and grant them healing equal to your martial arts die + your wisdom modifier. This healing applies initially when you send your orb, and afterwards at the start of each of the creature's turns.
Afterwards, you may use your bonus action and a Ki point to shift the orb to another willing creature, granting them the same healing as above.
Orb of Discord
You may use an action and spend 1 Ki point to imbue an Orb with negative energy for 1 minute. When you do so, choose one creature you can see within range of your orbs. You send an orb to them and they must make a wisdom saving throw against your Ki save DC or become entangled in negative discord and have the orb orbit their head.
While a creature is discorded, each successful attack on them deals additional force damage equal to a roll of your martial arts die.
The creature repeats the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, removing the orb on a success. If they pass the save or the creature dies, the orb returns to you and remains active until the 1 minute is over. When the orb returns to you in this way, it does not require a Ki point to move it as long as you target a different creature.
Afterwards, you may use your bonus action and a Ki point to shift the orb to another creature, having them make the saving throw or be under the effects.
Enlightenment
6th-Level Way of the Iris feature
Weightlessness
Through the mental path of enlightenment, your body goes through its own enlightening. While conscious, you float up to a foot off the ground, difficult terrain has no effect on you, and you are immune to fall damage.
Snap Kick
You also learn of a technique to boost the power of a limb for a moment. Once per turn when you hit with your unarmed strike, you can choose to push that target back 10 feet. The creature must make a strength saving throw against your Ki save DC to resist the effect, on a successful save the target is only pushed back 5 feet.
You can do this ability twice per turn at 12th level.
Transcendence
11th-Level Way of the Iris feature
You gain the ability to temporarily transcend your mortal form, and enter the Iris. As a bonus action, you can spend 5 ki points to take on a golden, semi-translucent form with several arms extending from your back.
In this form, you can't make attacks, but you gain the following benefits:
- Your movement speed is doubled.
- You have resistance to all damage.
- You are immune to all conditions.
- You shed bright light out to 15 feet, and dim light an additional 15 feet.
- At the end of each of your turns, you and creatures you choose within 30 feet of you, regain hit points equal to two rolls of your martial arts die + your wisdom modifier.
This form lasts for 1 minute, until you dismiss it as a bonus action, or fall unconscious due to loss of hit points. Any conditions you previously had before you used this feature are suppressed for the duration, they continue affecting you after the duration of transcendence is over.
At 17th level you gain additional benefits:
- You can take actions and bonus actions interchangeably.
- You can send out your Orb of Harmony and Orb of Discord without expending ki points.
One with the Iris
17th-Level Way of the Iris feature
Your connection to the Iris has reached its zenith, able to blend the tranquility of harmony with the devastation of discord. You gain the following benefits:
Orb Mastery
- Your Orbs of Destruction now have an increased range of 60/120 feet.
- Your orbs count as unarmed strikes for any abilities that require them.
- The healing from your Orb of Harmony is increased to two rolls of your Martial Arts die + wisdom modifier.
- The extra damage from your Orb of Discord now adds your wisdom modifier to the roll of your Martial Arts die.
While in your Transcendence form, you gain the following additional benefits:
- You can take actions and bonus actions interchangeably.
- You can send out your Orb of Harmony and Orb of Discord without expending ki points.
