Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Unlike some Paladins, Oath of Sustenance Paladins often start from humble backgrounds, as bakers, and chefs. Highly skilled in food preparation and cooking, these people yearn to feed those around them. This desire to make sure no one goes hungry can sometimes lead to a special calling, one where the Paladin uses their knowledge to feed the masses wherever they go.

Many who follow this calling ever pursue all form of cooking, foraging, and related skills, so that no matter what situation they find themselves in, they can always provide for another.

These paladins share the following tenets:

  • No one shall ever go hungry, not even thyself.
  • Always accept a gift of food, ingredients, or kitchen equipment.
  • Smite those who starve the people and gorge like pigs.

For 1 hour, you have Advantage on any checks made with your Cook's Utensils. Additionally, you can imbue five rations with extra nourishment (ritual action that takes 45 minutes). When these rations are consumed, they heal the consumer 1d4 + 2 hit points.

Aura of Full-Belly

At level 7, you gain the following: While inside of your Aura of Protection, you and your allies are Full, gaining 1d4 + your CHA Modifier temporary hit points. Additionally, when inside of this aura, you and your allies cannot become inebriated or hungry. If you become Incapacitated or an ally leaves the aura, the effects of any previous intoxication or hunger return.

Eye for Nutrition

Your expertise has afforded an uncanny eye for spotting ingredients, and your knowledge discerns what is safe to eat. At 15th level, gain the ability that within a 10 ft radius around you, you are immediately aware of any food, or ingredients. Anything found via this method can be easily identified if the food is safe to eat or not. If the food is poisoned or magically tampered with, you can make a DC12 WIS save to make the food safe for consumption.

Additionally, your iron stomach grants you immunity to poison, and the Poisoned status affect.

Baked With Love and Holy Water

You have mastered your knowledge in ways—whether true or exaggerated—that honor the deepest roots of your oath. As a Bonus Action, you gain the benefits below for 10 minutes. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).

Holy Water. You are blessed with an otherworldly presence, gaining the affects of Bless.

Dough-Shaper. You become as flexible and bouncy as freshly kneaded dough, gaining an additional 5ft to all your movement speeds, and triple your jumping distance (Akin to Enhance Leap in BG3).

Baker's Dozen. For any ability check or saving throw, if you roll a 12 or lower, automatically change the roll to a 13 (before modifiers).
