Base Class: Barbarian
In the skies above civilisation there is constant movement. Raging winds, bright forks of lightning, deep rolls of booming thunder. There are barbarians who seek to emulate this natural energy and tie it to their own strength. Through experiencing the raw power of nature first hand, they learn to anchor the fonts of rage within their own bodies to those violent and catastrophic forces of nature.
Storm Wardens, as they are known, lack the shapeshifting powers or spells of druids, but are often seen as similar by those around them. They too harbour a primal link with nature, and this is most prevalent when they give in to their barbaric rages. When raging, a storm warden summons forth an elemental guardian from which they conjure bolts of lightning, howling winds and protection from the elements.

If your guardian's effects require a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
Storm Guardian
Starting at 3rd level, when you enter a rage state, you manifest an elemental guardian within 10 feet of you. Your guardian is an elemental spirit of the air, usually taking the semi-visible ethereal form of an animal. It is capable of moving on your turn and can travel up to ten feet from you in any direction. It does not take damage from enemy attacks and does not provide advantage when flanking.
The guardian begins with an aura that extends from it in all directions by five feet. As a bonus action, you can choose 1 enemy that is within your guardian's aura. The target must make a dexterity saving throw. It takes 1d6 lightning damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one.
Your guardian's distance from you increases when you reach certain levels in the class, increasing to 15 feet at 6th level, and 20 feet at 10th level.
Your guardian's aura expands when you reach certain levels in the class, increasing to a radius of 10 feet at 6th level, and 15 feet at 14th level.
The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 2d6 at 10th level, 3d6 at 15th level, and 4d6 at 20th level.
Storm Shield
At 6th level, your guardian's aura increases to 10 feet and it can travel up to 15 feet away from you.
At 6th level, any creatures of your choice within your guardian's aura gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage.
Sky Step
At 10th level, your guardian can now travel 20 feet from you.
The area of your guardian's aura is filled with helpful gusts of wind that carry allies on their path. When you or an ally move through your guardian's aura, they move at double speed (10 foot per 5 movement of speed used.)
Howling Wind
At 14th level, your guardian's aura now extends in every direction by 15 feet.
When you hit a creature in your guardian's aura with an attack, you can use your reaction to force that creature to make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is knocked up to 15 feet as if thrown by a powerful hurricane.
