Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Rage with steel and flesh in perfect festering furry.

In the heat of battle the Ragebound channel their boundless rage into their weapons, infusing them with raw, untamed fury. This bond transforms the weapon into a vessel of their wrath, allowing it to carve through foes with an unparalleled ferocity that reflects the barbarian's unrestrained festering rage.

Bound Fury

3rd-level Ragebound Feature

When you enter a rage, you can choose one melee weapon you are holding to infuse with your fury. While raging, this weapon is considered magical if it isn’t already, and you can’t be disarmed of it unless you are incapacitated. The weapon deals additional damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus and returns to your hand immediately if it is thrown or dropped.

Additionally, when you infuse your weapon, you can choose one of the following sub-effects that alters how the weapon functions:

  • Split Strike: You tear the weapon in two through your rage, allowing you to attack with each piece separately. While raging, you can make two attacks with your bound weapon as if you were dual-wielding, but the extra attack does not add your Strength modifier to the damage unless it’s a critical hit.

  • Serrated Edge: Your bound weapon becomes jagged and cruel, designed to tear through armor and flesh alike. When you hit a creature with your bound weapon, the target’s AC is reduced by 1 (to a minimum of 10) until the start of your next turn. This effect can stack.

  • Crushing Weight: Your bound weapon takes on a heavy, menacing form, designed to break bones and shatter resolve. When you hit a creature with your bound weapon, it must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or have its speed reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn. This effect can only be used once per turn.

The chosen sub-effect lasts until your rage ends. Once your rage ends, your weapon returns to its normal state.

Wrathful Infusion

6th-level Ragebound Feature

Your bound weapon channels your rage into devastating strikes. When you hit a creature with your infused weapon, you can choose to unleash a burst of furious energy. The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be stunned until the start of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Symbiotic Rage

10th-level Ragebound Feature

The bond between you and your weapon has become almost symbiotic. When you take damage while raging, you can channel that energy into your weapon. The next attack you make before the end of your next turn deals an additional 1d6 damage for each time you were hit since your last turn (up to a maximum equal to your proficiency bonus).

Unbound Frenzy

14th-level Ragebound Feature

When your rage reaches its peak, your bond with your weapon becomes truly terrifying. As a bonus action while raging, you can activate Unbound Frenzy for 1 minute. During this time, your bound weapon deals an extra 2d6 damage, and if you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with an attack, you can make another attack as part of the same action. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
