Base Class: Rogue
The Battledancer moves like a whirlwind on the battlefield, a blur of grace and death. One moment, they’re beside you, the next, behind your enemies. Few can match their ability to turn combat into a deadly dance—and those who try seldom live to regret it.
The Battledancer is a rogue that thrives on graceful movement, weaving through combat like a whirlwind. Combining acrobatic prowess with lethal precision, these rogues use their agility to disorient foes, dance around the battlefield, and strike with deadly accuracy. Movement is their key to survival, and every step they take is a part of a deadly dance of combat.
Graceful Footwork
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your combat style becomes fluid and elegant. You gain expertise in Acrobatics and Performance if you don’t already have it, and your movement speed increases by 10 feet. Additionally, when you take the Disengage action, you can move through the space of creatures larger than you without penalty. You cannot end your turn in their space.
At level 9, when you take the disengage action you may also take the dash action.
Dancer's Flurry
Also at 3rd level, your swift movements let you strike with precision. Once per turn, if you move at least 10 feet before making a melee weapon attack against a creature, you can deal an additional 1d6 damage to that target. This bonus damage increases to 2d6 at 9th level, 3d6 at 13th level, and 4d6 at 17th level.
Flickerstep
Starting at 9th level, when you move through a creatures space you have advantage on attacks against that creature for the rest of your turn.
Whirling Defense
By 13th level, your speed and grace allow you to evade incoming attacks with ease. When a creature within 5 feet of you misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to immediately move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks. You can also make a melee weapon attack against that creature as part of this movement.
Deadly Ballet
At 17th level, you can turn the battlefield into your stage, using your movements to create an overwhelming offensive. As a bonus action, you can enter a Deadly Ballet for 1 minute. During this time, your movement speed increases by 20 feet, and each time you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can immediately move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. If you move at least 20 feet before making a melee weapon attack during this time, that attack is made with advantage. Additionally, during this duration when you make the a melee weapon attack, you can make an additional attack as apart of the same action.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
