Base Class: Monk
This rare style is often adopted by assassins and killers alike. While teachers of the tradition are far in between, certain clans may dedicate themselves to the perfections of the style.
Monks of the Way of Four Fangs specialize in the art of violence to bring waste to their prey. Those who follow the tradition embody their inner demons, satiated only by the spilling of blood. By focusing ki into their joints and muscles, these killers dart forth in heartbeats, piercing right through their victims with just their bare hands.
First Fang: Hide Piercer
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can infuse ki into your fingers, striking vital points with a piercing needle. Whenever you take the attack action, you can spend 1 focus point to replace one attack with an attack that deals piercing damage equal to 2 rolls of your Martial Arts die + your wisdom modifier. In addition, the target suffers from a wound that deals necrotic damage equal to your Proficiency bonus at the start of their turn (effect does not stack), the effect ends after 1 minute or whenever the target restores any hit points. You can only use this feature once per turn.
Second fang: Dance of Flames
Starting at 6th level, you can infuse ki into your legs, causing you to dash forward in the blink of an eye. Whenever you use Step of the Wind, you can expend an additional 2 focus points to double your movement speed, as part of the bonus action you can make an unarmed strike at advantage. For every 20ft moved while the effect is active, you gain a +1 bonus to your next damage roll.
Third Fang: Demon's Embrace
Beginning at 11th level, you can infuse your whole body with ki, adopting the fighting style of a blood thirsty demon. As a bonus action you can expend 5 focus points to transform for 1 minute or until you are either incapacitated or dead. When the effect ends, you gain two levels of exhaustion. While the effect is active, you gain the following effects;
- Whenever you score a critical hit or reduce a creature (at DM's discretion) to 0 hit points, you regain 1 focus point and can make an additional attack as a bonus action. This attack can be Hide Piercer regardless of if you have used it on the same turn or not.
- Whenever you make an attack, you can move up to half your movement speed without provoking an opportunity attack, before or after the attack regardless of whether it hit or not.
- Whenever you use Flurry of Blows, you can replace the damage type with slashing damage. Whenever you deal slashing damage this way, you gain 5ft of movement on a hit.
The form of your Demon's Embrace should represent an emotion. For example, you might start crying tears of blood in sorrow, your veins could pulsate with rage or your heart might beat rhythmically like a drum as you dance in joy.
Fourth Fang: Devil's Tongue
At 17th level, you learn the deadliest technique; Devil's Tongue allows the wielder to infuse their hand with ki, striking like a sharp whip at the biggest weakness of their prey, the head. As an action, you can expend 8 focus points to instantly kill any creature within 5ft of you that has 100 hit points or lower by decapitating them. If a creature can survive without a head or has more than 100 hit points, it instead takes 10d10 slashing damage.
