Base Class: Bard
The College of the Black Sky is a sanctuary for those bards who find their muse in the thunderous roar of heavy metal. These bards are not mere performers; they are warriors of sound, wielding their instruments like weapons and channeling the primal energy of the cosmos into their music.
From the moment they join the college, students are taught to harness their inner fury and transform it into powerful musical magic. Their performances are more than just songs—they are war cries that rally allies and strike fear into the hearts of enemies. With their battleaxes that double as instruments, they stand at the forefront of combat, delivering devastating riffs and solos that can turn the tide of battle.
Graduates of the College of the Black Sky are known far and wide as the harbingers of sonic destruction, their music echoing across the battlefield as a testament to the raw power of heavy metal!
Bardic Warcry
At 3rd level, you learn to channel the primal fury of heavy metal into a powerful warcry. By expending a use of your Bardic Inspiration, you unleash a thunderous shout that reverberates through the battlefield, sharpening the senses and quickening the reflexes of both yourself and one chosen ally. This electrifying cry grants you both advantage on initiative rolls, ensuring you strike first and strike hard, setting the stage for the chaos to come.
Riffmaster
At 6th level, your weapon and instrument become one, transforming any two-handed weapon into your arcane focus. As a bonus action, you can use a Bardic Inspiration tto activate Riffmaster, amplifying your next damaging spell or melee attack with an additional 2d6 thunder damage. Your powerful riffs resonate through the battlefield, leaving your foes trembling in awe.
Encore Performance
At 6th level, your performances are so inspiring that can rejuvenate even your own rockin' spirit. When you successfully land a critical hit with a melee attack or a spell, you regain one expended use of Bardic Inspiration. This feature can be used a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier(minimum of once) per long rest.
Ride the Lightning
At 14th level, your music can harness the power of lightning. As an action, you can play a searing riff that calls down a bolt of lightning at a point you can see within 60 feet. Each creature within a 10-foot radius of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 6d10 lightning damage and is stunned until the end of his next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't stunned. You can use this feature once per long rest.
