Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Showman are more than just warriors—they are performers, living for the thrill of the crowd, the awe of onlookers, and the rush of battle. These Barbarians turn combat into a stage where they are the star, using their body as a weapon and dominating the battlefield with daring stunts and overwhelming physicality. By embracing this path, you weave together violence and spectacle, pursuing fame, glory, and cheers.

Fisticuffs

Your time fighting in the pits has made every part of your body a lethal weapon. While you are raging, your unarmed strikes deal 1d8 bludgeoning damage + your Strength modifier instead of their normal damage. Additionally, when you make an unarmed strike while raging, you can choose to grapple the target as part of the same attack without expending a separate action.

Overwhelming Presence

You dominate the battlefield with raw strength and sheer spectacle, turning combat into a dramatic display of might. You gain a pool of Overwhelming Presence Points (OP Points) equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You regain all expended OP Points when you finish a short or long rest.

Regaining OP Points

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points using a stunt, you regain 1 OP Point.

Additionally, when a friendly creature reduces an enemy to 0 hit points using a melee attack, you can use your reaction to “Showboat” by making a DC 10 Constitution saving throw (as if concentrating). If you succeed and are not interrupted by the start of your next turn, you regain 1 OP Point.

Audience’s Favor

As a reaction when you are targeted by an attack, you can spend 1 OP Point to taunt your attacker, forcing them to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they must choose a new target or waste the attack. This does not protect you from area effects.

Bonecrusher

When you successfully grapple a creature, you can spend 1 OP Point to deal bludgeoning damage equal to twice your Strength modifier. The creature must also make a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the start of your next turn.

Crowd Pleaser

As a bonus action, you can spend 1 OP Point to perform a dramatic display of strength, like flexing or roaring. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet that can see or hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Grand Finale

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 OP Point to immediately use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1) and gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.

Thunderous Charge

When you move at least 10 feet straight toward a target and hit them with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 OP Point to create a shockwave. All creatures within 5 feet of you must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked back 10 feet and take bludgeoning damage equal to your Strength modifier plus your proficiency bonus

Titan's Grasp

You may spend an OP to attempt to grapple a creature one size larger than your maximum. Grappling this way gains no benefit from raging

Heart of the Showman

Your skill with flashy hand-to-hand combat techniques is unparalleled. Beginning at 6th level your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances. In addition to this, your skill with grappling improves, whenever you have a creature grappled you may spend an OP point to make an unarmed strike against the grappled creature.

Unshakable Performer

Your victories have steeled your mind as much as your body. While you are raging, you gain immunity to being charmed or frightened. Additionally, when you make a saving throw to maintain concentration on your attempt to showboat you gain a bonus to your rolls equal to your rage damage

Ultimate Showman

Beginning at 14th level, you regain 2 OP Points. Additionally, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a stunt, you can immediately take an extra attack as part of the same action.
