Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

ODM Specialists are fighters who have cast their traditional weapons aside in order to confront a new kind of threat.

ODM Gear could have been developed to combat many types of threats. Anything from a larger number of gargantuan creatures appearing in the world, or perhaps even developed to combat something as specific as a Dragon's breath attack. Regardless of what caused it's necessity, this archetype highlights and bolsters it's strengths in combat while attempting to manage it's weaknesses.

When you take this Archetype, you gain proficiency in Wisdom (Animal Handling), Wisdom (Perception) and Dexterity (Stealth). Any perception check you make to locate a creature of large size or larger is made at advantage.

ODM Specialists use their air-based maneuvers to both expertly dodge attacks, and to set up their own critical blows.

D&D beyond does not allow external links on homebrew subclasses. ODM Gear is an important part of using this subclass, look at my profile to find the item.

Lethal Strikes

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to expertly hone in on your opponent's weak points.

When you make a melee weapon attack with a finesse weapon against an enemy you can see, you can choose to take a -10 penalty to the attack roll. If you hit, you automatically score a critical blow, regardless of the number rolled. You must use this before you take your attack roll. You may only use this feature a maximum of once per turn.

This penalty decreases to -8 at level 7, and to a further -5 at level 12.

If you are targeting a Weak-Point with the rules as detailed here, the penalty you would take to your roll is instead replaced by the weak point's attack penalty.

Emergency Relocation

At 7th level, upon being hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to move up to your movement speed in any direction. Provided you're wearing ODM Gear, and there is a valid latch point within range.

This consumes one gas point. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

When you use this feature, any opportunity attacks made against you are made at disadvantage.

An Extension of Self

At 10th level, you begin to harmonize with the magical fuel powering your ODM Gear. When you roll initiative no gas points remaining, you regain three gas points. You may do this an equal amount of times to your proficiency bonus.

Everywhere All At Once

At level 15, your mastery over ODM Gear allows you to seamlessly move from action to action.

When an ally within 40 feet of you is subject to an attack, you may use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll.

Alternatively, when an ally makes an attack against a creature you can see, you may use your reaction to give them advantage to their attack roll. When you use your reaction in this way, you may also move up to 40 feet toward to the targeted creature.

You may use this feature an equal number of times to half of your fighter class level, rounded up. You regain half of your uses of this feature, rounded down, on a short rest. You regain all uses on a long rest.

Genetic Awakening

At 18th level, your complete mastery of ODM gear awakens latent power from your genetic lineage.

When you take the attack action on your turn, you may also move up to 40 feet in any direction without using your movement, provided you are wearing ODM gear. You may only use this ability once per turn.

On a reaction, you may impose disadvantage on an attack roll directed at you. If the attack still hits you, you can reduce the damage by 1d12 + your dexterity modifier.

When you take the attack action on your turn, you may make an additional attack with your bonus action. If you take this attack and it misses, you may move up to 60 feet in any direction. Provided you are wearing ODM gear.

All ODM burst maneuvers Gas Point cost is halved. Rounded down.

When you use Lethal Strikes, you can choose to not take a penalty to your attack roll. You may use this a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus, rounded up.
