Base Class: Bard
Bards of this college concentrate on communication with spirits and entities from the ethereal and astral planes. For most this is a natural gift, others however had to fake having this gift until they could develop their craft for real. They seek out knowledge from the past and distant worlds difficult for others to understand. Tales of ancient heroes, vile fiends, fantastic journeys, and other worlds, fascinate them to become the cornerstones of their studies. Using rituals, dances, and ancient techniques, they attempt to communicate with beings from these different planes. Learn the truth beyond the legends, conjure visions of their own fate, and solve mysteries long forgotten.
Clairvoyant Magic
3rd level College of Clairvoyance feature
Bards of Clairvoyance start at 1st level knowing the Speak With Animals Spell. At 5th level they will also learn Clairvoyance and their choice of the following: Sending, Speak With Dead, or Speak With Plants spells. These spells are automatic to the subclass and do not count against the bard's chosen spells.
Sending
The bard has chosen Sending as a bonus spell.
Speak With Dead
The bard has chosen Speak With Dead as a bonus spell.
Speak With Plants
The bard has chosen Speak With Plants as a bonus spell.
Clairvoyant Inspiration
3rd level College of Clairvoyance feature
At 3rd level Bards of Clairvoyance can give a vision of déjà vu as a form of bardic inspiration. When someone is inspired by your bardic inspiration and they are attacked by another, they can use the inspiration to force the attacker to roll two d20s to hit. The clairvoyant inspiration will force the attacker to take the lesser of the two rolls and the inspired will be able to use the greater of the two rolls for their next d20 roll, whatever that roll may be (to hit roll, saving throw, etc.)
The inspired roll used by the inspired character must for a d20-range roll. For example to hit rolls and saving throws are rolls where someone would need to roll a d20, thus a d20-range roll. The inspired must use the greater roll as their very next d20 roll or the inspired roll will be lost. The bard will have to expend one of their bardic inspiration uses to grant this blessing to another.
Second Sight
6th Level College of Clairvoyance feature
The bard can use this feature to see their surroundings through their mind alone. By use of this psychic sight, they will be able to see all hidden, concealed, invisible, and heavily obscured, objects and beings within 30' feet of them. A single use of this ability requires an action and can last for up to one minute but requires concentration. The bard can use this ability one time per point of proficiency between long rests.
Feint Weakness
14th Level College of Clairvoyance feature
The bard has learned how to temporarily alter a target's psyche to make them believe that they are vulnerable to a type of damage or trauma. The bard simply uses a bonus action and chooses a target within 60' feet. The target is allowed a Charisma saving throw to avoid this effect. While the bard simply concentrates this ability , the target will become vulnerable to a type of attack as chosen by the bard.
If the creature is a typical opponent the bard can choose any type of attack or damage (including attacks from a specific individual.) While the bard concentrates on this fake weakness, the target will make all saves vs. this type of damage at disadvantage and suffer 50% more damage from attacks of that type. If the creature is normally resistant to this type of damage, this resistance will be temporarily lost. If the bard chooses to make the target vulnerable to attacks from a specific individual, that individual will be able to attack the target at advantage, in addition to the already-mentioned penalties. If the target is completely immune to the type of attack that the bard has chosen, this ability will fail. (They cannot make a fire giant believe that they are suddenly vulnerable to fire.)
The bard can use this ability three times per long rest. The bard cannot target more than one creature with this ability at a time. If a target of this ability goes down, the bard must use another use of this ability to transfer this ability to another target. If the bard loses concentration or is incapacitated, this effect will end. Once the bard has used this ability on a target and the target has somehow resisted this ability, that target is invulnerable to this ability from that bard for 24-hours.
