Tenets of the Oath of Life

Protect all life - It is our job to heal the people of world, to bind their wounds and cure their aliments so that life may continue. From the strong to the weak all life is precious and must be protected. Many Paladins who take up this oath also stop eating meat and do not hunt for sport.

Compassion. - You understand how harsh life can be.  Through acts of mercy, kindness, and forgiveness, you help bring compassion in the world. Granting Hope for a better life.

Life and Death - Undeath goes in direct violation with the oath of life.  It is every Life paladins work to destroy evil abominations and undead .  Those who ahead in creating these evils must be punished.

Life is a journey not a destination -  The oath of life knows that Hasty Actions can be catastrophic, it is important to remember the ceremonies in life and calm emotions when making decision.   Some Life paladins even choose to Meditate instead of sleeping.

Let Hope's light guide you - Every life paladin knows that even the darkest days bring the morning light. The Holy Light of Hope helps any paladin to right the wrongs in the world.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Chastised Weapon . As an action, you can imbue one weapon that you are holding with positive energy, using your Channel Divinity. For 1 minute, on a successful attack  your imbued weapon can heal one target within 30 feet for half the damage rounded down + charisma modifier (with a minimum bonus of +1). The weapon also emits bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light 20 feet beyond that. If the weapon is not already magical, it becomes magical for the duration. Any Undead Hit with this weapon take an additional 1d8 radiant damage.

You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.

Act of the Martyr - As a main action, you can place one blessing upon a willing creature.  For one minute you can use your reaction to take half the targets damage rounded up. Effect ends early if paladin cancels as any part of their turn OR the  paladin or willing creature is brought to 0 hit points.  Cannot be used on undead or Constructs.

Oath Spells

Oath of Devotion Spells

Aura of Hope

Starting at level 7  when the paladin heals a target/s within 10 feet, they can grant them temporary hit points,  The Hit points granted are  half the  paladin level rounded down + Charisma modifier (Minimum of +1).  On a bonus action the paladin may also double the temporary hit points granted to one target by spending 5 points from their healing pool. All Temporary Hit Points are lost at the end of combat.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Lifegivers Embrace

Beginning at 15th level, your lay of hands point pool is doubled and your touch spells range is based on your paladin aura range.

Holy Aura

At 20th level, as an action, you can emanate a holy aura. For 1 minute, bright light shines from you in a 30-foot radius, and dim light shines 30 feet beyond that.

Divine light washes out from you and coalesces in a soft radiance in a 30-foot radius around you. Creatures of your choice in that radius when you cast this spell shed dim light in a 5-foot radius and have advantage on all saving throws, and other creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against them until the spell ends. In addition, when a fiend or an undead hits an affected creature with a melee attack, the aura flashes with brilliant light. The attacker must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the spell ends.  Requires a long rest before being able to use again.
