Base Class: Monk
The use of simple weapons is a cornerstone of the Iron Soul tradition, founded long ago by those who did not want to rely on traditional weapons to defend themselves. Adherents of the Iron Soul master common tools, transforming them into potent instruments of war. Over time monastic warriors have refined these primitive techniques and incorporated them into a range of powerful psionic disciplines.
Devotees of the Iron Soul often come from common stock, taught to defend themselves with whatever they have on hand and hold onto their convictions with an iron fist. Iron soul schools are found within established communities, typically tied to peaceful philosophical concepts.
Iron Soul Flurry of Blows
Whenever you hit a creature with an attack granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can fly up to half your speed without evoking the opportunity attacks. And upon landing you deliver 1d4 psychic damage to anyone within five feet of you.
Freeze the Life Blood
Once per short rest, you can add 2d8 cold damage to an unarmed attack. The target must make a DC 15 constitution saving throw or be immobilized. On a failed save they are slowed. They can make a Con save at the end of each turn to end the effect.
Iron Bones
As a bonus action, you can use up to 3 ki points to raise your AC by 2 for each ki point used. This lasts for 1 hour.
Empty Body
You expend 2 ki points as a bonus action to become incorporeal until the end of your next turn. You cannot be hit by nonmagical attacks and can move through objects and people. Moving through a person deals them 1d6 psychic damage on a failed DC 15 constitution saving throw.
In this form, you are immune to being grappled, paralyzed, poisoned, or restrained. You do not suffer the consequences of any diseases you are currently infected with.
