Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Swirling Sands learn to live in what most consider inhospitable regions of the desert. They train until they can become the very sand they live in and strike with the suddenness of a sandstorm.
Sand Control
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain power over the sands. You gain the following abilities:
Swirling Sands. As a bonus action, you may spend a Focus Point to gather ferociously swirling sands around you. Any creature within 5 feet of you takes 1 die of your martial arts in force damage when they first enter the aura and whenever they start their turn in the aura. Your AC increases by 1 while the aura is in effect. The duration is equal to your proficiency bonus number of turns. You may dismiss the aura as a free action.
Whenever you spend a Focus Point to take the Flurry of Blows bonus action swirling sands add force to your attacks, increasing your damage for those attacks. Add force damage to Flurry of Blows attacks equal to your Wisdom modifier.
One with the Sand
At 6th level, you learn to listen and become one with the sands. Gaining the following abilities:
One with the Sand. You can feel the smallest movements or vibrations in your proximity. You acquire tremorsense up to 30ft. This increases to 60ft at 11th level.
Flowing Sands. You may spend 1 Focus Point as a bonus action to dissipate into the sand and teleport up to your walking speed, reforming in an unoccupied space you can see. You may make an unarmed strike with bonus force damage equal to your wisdom modifier as part of this action.
Wind Devil
At 11th level, you may spend 3 Focus Points as an action to dissipate into the sand and teleport to an unoccupied space you can see next to a target within 30 feet of you. You may then make an unarmed attack with bonus force damage equal to twice your wisdom modifier. You may repeat this attack two more times.
Sandstorm
At 17th level, you become a master of the desert storm. When you activate your Swirling Sands aura you may spend an additional 4 Focus Points. If you do it expands to a 15ft radius around you. The damage increases to three times your martial arts die and you may exclude creatures of your choice from this damage. Further, you may apply your AC bonus from this skill to creatures of your choice inside the aura.
