Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Very rarely, at some point in their lives, a person's soul will become touched by the elemental plane of fire and begin to burn. Those whose souls are not completely consumed by the flames are left gifted with remarkable fiery talents.

Burning Spells

Starting at 3rd level, and when you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Burning Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Burning Spells
Sorcerer Level Spells
3 Faerie Fire, Hellish Rebuke, Flaming Sphere, Heat Metal, Fire Bolt
5 Ashardalon's Stride, Fireball
7 Fire Shield, Shadow of Moil
9 Flame Strike, Immolation

Fan the Flames

Starting at 3rd level when your burning soul awakens your powers, even the smallest of fires seem to grow brighter and hotter in your presence. Any time you would deal fire damage, you may choose to reroll one of the damage dice and take the higher number.

At 10th level you may reroll up to two damage dice this way. At 18th level you may reroll up to three damage dice this way.

Flash Fire

At 6th level, you can pull on the fiery forces within your soul to explosively increase the size of a fire. Whenever a creature is dealt fire damage, you may cause a burst of fire to erupt from that creature in a 10 foot radius sphere centered on them.

Any creature caught in the explosion (including the original creature) fire damage equal to your Sorcerer level. You may use this feature 3 times per long rest

Smolder

At 14th level, the flames you create are so empowered by your inner fire that they remain long after the initial source has died out. Whenever you deal fire damage in an area, you may intensify the flames so that the area remains on fire for 1 minute.

Any creature that moves through one of these areas takes 1d6 fire damage for every 5 feet they move. You may use this feature 3 times per long rest.

Ruin

At 18th level, the unrelenting power of fire within you cannot be contained, and always threatens to explode out of control.

Whenever you roll one or more dice for fire damage, note the number of dice that rolled their maximum value. Roll an additional number of the same dice type for each dice noted this way and add their result to the damage total.

If any of the dice rolled this way roll their maximum value, repeat the previous step. Continue rolling and adding dice to the damage total this way until no dice roll their maximum value.
