Base Class: Wizard
Studying the raw strength of storms, wizards known as Stormsingers seek to understand, control and infuse the power of storms within themselves. These mages wield lightning and thunder against their foes, and often find peace and solitude in the natural chaos of the maelstrom, often studying their behaviour.

3rd Thunderous Savant, StormSong
6th Lightning Flash
10th Unbridled storm
14th Living Thunder
Thunderous Savant
Your tutelage of the storms has allowed you to harness a fragment of it's power. Whenever you cast a cantrip that deals lightning or thunder damage, you can target a second creature that is within 10ft of the first target. In addition, should your spell attack miss, the original target takes damage equal to your Intelligence Modifier.
Stormsong
You learn to channel the might of storms through a magical art known as the Stormsong, provided you aren't wearing medium or heavy Armor, or carrying a shield. The stormsong is a miniature storm that stays 5ft around you, granting you enhanced defences, movement and strength.
As a bonus action, you can activate the stormsong, which lasts for one minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, or if you don medium or heavy armor or wield a shield. You can also dismiss the stormsong at any action you choose (No Action required.)
Whilst the stormsong is active, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage
- You gain the ability to hover 10ft off the ground.
- Once per turn, Whenever a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can deal lightning damage to the target. the damage equals half your wizard level (rounded down).
You gain a number of uses of your Stormsong equal to your Proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses on a long rest.
Lightning Flash
By 6th level, you have learnt how to move as fast as lightning, weaving amongst the battle. Whenever you roll for initiative, you gain a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Intelligence modifier.
Once per turn, whenever you deal thunder or lightning damage with a 1st level or higher spell, you can teleport up to half your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks and you have immunity to the paralysed condition until the start of your next turn.
Unbridled Storm
You learn to revel in the lightning, harnessing it as you become a conduit for it's strength.
You learn the Call Lightning spell. You always have the spell prepared, and it doesn't count against your number of spells known. When you activate your Storm song, you can cast the Call Lightning spell at 3rd level as part of that bonus action. When you do, the spell does not require concentration, and only lasts for one minute. In addition, you can reactivate the effects of the spell as a bonus action on your following turns, instead of a Magic Action.
Living Thunder
You unleash the power of the maelstrom, becoming a living conduit for arcane lightning.
In addition, whenever you activate the Stormsong ability, you gain the following additional benefits.
- You gain immunity to thunder and lightning damage.
- You gain a 60ft flight speed.
- When you cast Call Lightning as part of your storm song, you can create up to three lightning bolts with your bonus action, instead of one. Each Lightning bolt can only target an enemy once.
