Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Ancient texts and hieroglyphs depict The Master in a variety of ways. In some cultures, they are shown as a monarch that walks upon the backs of their kneeling servants. In other cultures The Master is shown as a massive hand made of chains, grasping all of humanity in its oppressive hold. Widely considered one of the most dangerous beings in existence, The Master seeks to enslave all mortal life until the end of time. Warlocks that make a deal with The Master are not so much favored champions, but a means to an end - An eager servant that works tirelessly to bring more and more unfortunate souls under their tyranny. A favorite slave is still a slave, however, and service under The Master does not end with one's death.

The Master's Shackles

Starting at 3rd level, markings of chains and manacles appear all over your body, appearing to be burned straight into your flesh. These markings serve as a constant reminder that you are a servant to The Master. As one of Their marked warlocks, The Master allows you to summon forth spectral chains to ensnare your enemies.

As a bonus action, you summon a whirl of semi-corporeal chains that emerge from your markings and dig deep into a creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The creature must make a Charisma save against your spell casting DC to attempt to impose their will against The Master's enslavement.

On a failed save, for 1 minute, you and the creature are linked by ethereal chains. For the duration, whenever you are dealt damage, you may use your reaction to redirect half of the damage to the creature instead and the creature cannot move more than 30 feet from you. Damage halved this way is rounded up to you and down to your target. You may only have one creature chained at a time.

Forced Servitude

Starting at 6th level, you can pass The Master's will through your chains and force a creature to obey you. While you have a creature wrapped in chains from the Master's Shackles feature, you may have that creature bend to your will.

At the beginning of each of your turns, a chained creature must make a Charisma save against your spell casting DC. On a fail, you may use your bonus action to force the creature to move a distance up to your movement speed, and make one attack or cast one spell of cantrip level against any target within range.

Punish Resistance

Starting at 10th level, The Master further punishes those that would resist Their enslavement, and equally rewards Their loyal pets. Whenever you redirect damage to a creature with your Master's Shackles feature, you may gain temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt to the target. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum once) per short rest.

Offering to The Master

Starting at 14th level, you are able to offer a chained up creature as a tribute to The Master. As an action, you may break your connection to a chained creature and call forth The Master to claim Their prize. The creature takes 12d8 psychic damage as The Master tears their soul out of their body, leaving an empty, numb husk.

If a creature dies from this damage, their body turns to stone and The Master rewards you for the fine gift. When an offered creature dies, you regain all Pact Magic spell slots. You may make an offering only once per long rest.
