Base Class: Sorcerer
Your innate magic is tainted in its very nature. Perhaps an ancestor hailed from one of the Lower Planes, and so your magic is Infernal or Abyssal in origin. Or, your powers could have awakened at an especially dark moment in your life and now carry with them the powerful negative emotions you felt. Maybe you were born under a dark star, and you are the subject of a prophecy regarding foretelling destruction, potentially even of the entire world. Regardless of the twisted powers' origin, they are now yours to command. Will you reject the destruction inherent in your veins? Or will you embrace the allure of its power?
NOTE. Due to licensing, I cannot map the spells contained within this subclass to it and still publish it on DnDBeyond. If you are interested in using it, the expanded spell list will not show up on your character sheet unless you add it in another way.
Sign of Weakness
Your destiny of destruction beckons and ensures nothing stands in your way. As a Magic action, choose a creature you can see within 60 feet of you, cursing it until the end of your next turn. The next time you deal damage to the cursed creature with a level 1+ spell, the creature takes twice as much damage from the spell instead, and then the curse ends.
You can use this feature twice. You regain one expended use when you finish a Short Rest, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest. You gain an additional use when you reach Sorcerer levels 6 (3 uses) and 14 (4 uses).
Profane Spells
When you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Profane Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Arms of Hadar, Crown of Madness, Darkness, Hellish Rebuke |
| 5 | Fear, Hunger of Hadar |
| 7 | Fire Shield, Phantasmal Killer |
| 9 | Contagion, Destructive Wave |
Unstoppable Force
You can call on your dark power to give yourself the upper hand. You have a pool of d4s equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one die). Before you roll the d20 for a D20 Test, as long as you are not Incapacitated, you can expend dice from this pool and roll them, adding them to the result. You regain all expended dice after you finish a Long Rest.
Harbinger of the Damned
You become a true leader of the apocalypse. You always have the Summon Fiend spell prepared and can cast it without a Material component.
Additionally, you can cast it by spending 7 Sorcery Points instead of a spell slot. If you do so, you can modify it so that it doesn’t require Concentration. If you do so, the spell’s duration becomes 1 minute for that casting.
Profane Mark
Your magic has branded you in a way that you can never remove and never truly hide. This mark blazes with otherworldly light when you channel your power and grants you the following benefits.
Sign of Destruction. As a part of the Bonus Action you take to activate your Innate Sorcery feature, you can use your Sign of Weakness feature, even if you have no uses of it remaining.
Strength from the Fallen. While your Innate Sorcery feature is active, whenever a creature within 30 feet of you is reduced to 0 Hit Points, you may gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Charisma modifier plus your Sorcerer level. You may gain these hit points only once per round.
Tainted Healing. Whenever a creature you can see within 30 feet of you would regain Hit Points while your Innate Sorcery feature is active, you can use a Reaction to negate that healing and instead cause that creature to take Necrotic damage equal to half the amount of Hit Points they would have regained.
