Embodiment of the strange

Peer deep within your mortal soul. Look what dwells beneath the good and evil. Do you see it? Can you grasp at it?
Those who seek to sharpen their body, to attaint absolute concentration, if they fail, if they get corrupted, lost on the path towards the enlightenment and descent into miserable madness... sometimes they end up at the dark doorway, the pathway into the Voidlands... Once the door is opened - it can never be closed. These is no point about crying for those who lose their minds, because they find something much better... Embrace it, nurture it, share it - the gift of madness awaits all.

 

A Wonder in a Box

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain an ability to manifest a mystical music box. As an action you can expend 1 KI point to conjure a mystical music box in an unoccupied location within 15 feet of you for 1 minute. Whenever a hostile creature starts their turn within 15 feet of this music box, they must succeed on an Intelligence Saving Throw against you KI Save DC. On failed save, the creature must use their action to approach the music box and try to open it. The first time the mystical music box gets opened it will release a mind melting tune and will deal psychic damage to the creature who opened it equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts Die. Once opened, the music box will immediately disappear.

Banishing Force

From 6th level, when you deal damage to a creature via your A Wonder in a Box feature or stun a creature via your Stunning Strike feature, then as a reaction you can banish that creature into a pocket dimension until start of your next turn. While banished in this way, the target's speed is 0, and it is incapacitated. At the start of your next turn, the target reappears in the space it vacated or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied.
(You must be able to see, hear or otherwise perceive a creature you wish to banish)

Abyssal Crossroad

Beginning at 11th level, you gain the ability to bend and twist the space around you. Whenever another creature within 15 feet of you teleports or gets temporarily banished (for example via your Banishing Force feature), then you can choose an unoccupied area on surface that creature could stand on as the location where that creature teleports into or returns after being banished. The area of your choice must be within 15 feet of you and it cannot be within or above an environmental hazard (for example: it cannot be on top of lava or under the water).
(You must be conscious and able to see both the creature (before banishment/teleportation) and the new area where you wish the creature to end up in)

Everdark Whirlpool

At 17th level the alluring and inescapable power of the Voidlands start to leak from within you. While in combat, all hostile creatures within 15 feet of you or the mystical musical box you conjured via your A Wonder in a Box feature cannot willingly move further than 15 feet away from you or your mystical musical box.
(This effect doesn't apply to forced movement or effects causing creatures to flee)
