Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Speed understand how the feelings of a smooth rhythm can sway their fellow adventures movements and keep them feeling alive, in the midst of battle. They use this knowledge to their advantage by providing movement and healing to those that stick with their beat. (This subclass is inspired heavily by Lucio from Overwatch.)

Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency with Hand Crossbows, Rapiers, Scimitars, Shortswords, and Whips.

Crossfade

You constantly emanate an aura while you're not incapacitated by keeping a magical music flowing from your instrument of choice. The aura extends 5 feet from you in every direction. You and friendly creatures that start their turn within your aura or pass through it during their turn increase their movement speed by 10 feet and have advantage on Dexterity saving throws until the start of their next turn.

As a bonus action, you can change the tune of your beat, altering the effects of your aura. Instead, you and friendly creatures that start their turn within your aura or pass through it during your turn restore a number of hitpoints equal to a roll of your bardic inspiration die + your Charisma modifier. This change lasts until the start of your next turn, and activating expends a use of your bardic inspiration die.

Extra Attack

You can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Soundwave

You gain the ability to directionally boost the sound of your music to force creatures away from you. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one attack with this feature. If you do, each creature in a 15-foot cone must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take 2d8 thunder damage and be pushed 10 feet away from you.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, regaining all uses on a Short or Long rest.

Amp It Up

Your aura's emanation range extends to 10 feet. In addition, as a bonus action, you can amplify the abilities of your Crossfade until the start of your next turn. The movement speed bonus increases to 20 feet, and you and friendly creatures that trigger your Crossfade ability gain a +1 bonus to their AC.

As part of this bonus action, you can change your aura as described in Crossfade. If you do, the healing is increased to 2 rolls of your bardic inspiration die + your Charisma modifier. Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a Short or Long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to use it again.
