Base Class: Paladin
“The Oath of Liberation isn’t about glory or grand speeches. It’s about standing up for the ones who can’t stand for themselves. We fight to break chains, to tear down tyrants, and to give people the chance to live free.
Most of us come from the same places as those we protect—humble, hardworking, but tired of the boot on our necks. Our oath isn’t to kings or thrones, but to the common folk. We don’t stop until every shackle is broken and every voice can be heard.”
— Mana Clees
Tenets of Liberation
Paladins who swear the Oath of Liberation uphold these tenets:
Defiance. Oppose and dismantle corrupt systems and authorities. Use both direct confrontation and covert action to challenge those who wield power unjustly.
Advocacy. Use your strength and position to protect and uplift those who are oppressed or marginalized. Empower the underprivileged and give them a voice.
Solidarity. Build alliances with others who fight for freedom and justice. Strengthen your resolve through unity with fellow rebels and defenders.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Expose the Corrupt. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to reveal the true nature of those who abuse power. Choose one creature within 30 feet of you. The target must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature is unable to lie, and any attempts at covert deception are made with disadvantage for 1 minute. Additionally, the creature’s true alignment is revealed to you for the duration.
Veil of Shadows. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity and touch a creature to cover them in a mask of darkness. They gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks for 10 minutes and can’t be tracked by non-magical means.

Aura of Freedom
At 7th level, you and your allies gain the ability to escape oppression when encountered with it. While you’re not incapacitated, if you or a friendly creature within 10 feet of you takes damage from an attack, the damaged creature can use its reaction to move up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Defender of the Oppressed
At 15th level, your combat prowess becomes particularly effective against those who oppress or exploit. Whenever an enemy hits an ally within 5 feet of you, you may use your reaction to force them to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. If they fail, you impose disadvantage on that creature’s attacks and ability checks until the end of its next turn, and they take 2d8 + your Charisma modifier psychic damage.
You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all expended uses on a long rest.
Embrace Liberty
At 20th level, you can become an embodiment of freedom. As an action, you can transform into an avatar of liberation for 1 minute. During this transformation, you gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on all Dexterity (Stealth) checks and saving throws against being detected or tracked.
- Your speed is doubled and can’t be reduced by any means.
- You can’t be paralyzed, restrained, or grappled.
- Once per turn, when you hit an enemy with a weapon attack, you can choose to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
