Base Class: Barbarian
Blood magic is a forbidden technique among mages worldwide, but that has never deterred those who wish to pursue the Path of the Blood Bond. While barbarians are typically not known for their expertise in the arcane, those who follow this path have acquired enough knowledge to transform blood into weapons.
Sanguine Weapon
Your Arcane studies in the forbidden Blood Magiks have led down a deep path of using your blood to enhance your weapons. When you enter your Rage, you deal damage to yourself equal to twice your Proficiency Bonus to empower your melee attacks. Your blood coats your currently equipped weapon and turns it magical. Your melee attacks on hit deal extra damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus and are either Necrotic or Radiant, you choose when you hit. The weapon remains coated until the Rage ends or you change weapons.
You also gain proficiency in Arcana checks.
A Bond in Blood
You establish a powerful connection with an Ally through the rite of Blood. When you enter a Rage, or as an Action while Raging, choose an Ally within 10 feet to become your Blood Bound partner.
While bonded, any damage that the Ally takes, after applying any resistance, is split equally between the two of you. The bond persists for 1 minute, the Bonded Ally moves more than 60 feet away from you, or until either person hits 0 HP or dies. Embrace the bond and reinforce your strength together!
Vampiric Restoration
When you take the Attack Action and land a successful hit on a creature, you must choose to either deal your Rage Bonus Damage or heal yourself for the same amount. If you opt to heal yourself and are Bound to an Ally, that ally will also receive the same healing.
Aura of Sacrifice
By channeling the sacred Blood Rites, you can envelop yourself in a protective aura of Blood. When you take damage, you can use your Reaction to grant yourself Resistance to that damage type until the start of your next turn, provided you are not already Resistant to it. If you are bonded with an ally, you can use this Reaction to grant them Resistance in the same way, as long as they are not already Resistant to that damage type.
You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier, and you regain all uses after a Long Rest.
