Path of the Fury Vessel

Level 3: Vengeance Pool

When you take damage outside of rage, you may choose to add the full amount of that damage to a reserve called your Vengeance Pool. This pool has no maximum limit and resets to zero after a long rest or when you fall out of combat.

  • Recoil: When you release more than half of your current Vengeance Pool in a single attack, you take recoil damage equal to one-quarter of the amount released (rounded down). This recoil damage cannot be reduced or resisted.

  • Temporary Hit Points in Rage: When raging, if you would regain hit points from any source, you instead gain an equal amount of temporary hit points. These temporary hit points last until your rage ends.

  • Healing Reduction Outside of Rage: If you are healed outside of rage, any hit points you would regain are instead subtracted from your Vengeance Pool, reducing the amount stored there by the same amount. (Cannot go below 0)

Level 3: Empowered Fury

While raging, you can unleash stored damage from your Vengeance Pool as bonus damage on your melee weapon attacks. You decide how much damage to release per attack, up to the amount in your Vengeance Pool.

Level 6: Colossal Wrath

Upon entering rage with at least 25 damage stored in your Vengeance Pool, your form swells with power, growing in size according to the following chart:

Vengeance Pool Size Size Category Reach Increase Additional Damage
25+ Medium +5 feet +1d4
50+ Large +10 feet +1d6
75+ Huge +15 feet +1d8
100+ Gargantuan +20 feet +1d10
150+ Colossal +30 feet +1d12

Each size increase confers additional melee weapon damage according to the chart above. These effects last until your rage ends or your Vengeance Pool falls below the threshold for your current size category.

Note: If you start at a size smaller than Medium, each category shift increases you in stages from Tiny to Small, Small to Medium, and onward.

Level 10: Unbreakable Wrath

Your body has adapted to withstand the immense power you wield. Once per rage, if you release at least 30 damage from your Vengeance Pool in a single attack, you gain advantage on all attack rolls, Strength checks, and Strength saving throws until the start of your next turn.

Additionally, whenever you use this feature, you reduce the recoil damage taken by half.

Level 14: Savage Retaliation

Once per turn while raging, when a creature within reach deals damage to you, you can use your reaction to release stored damage from your Vengeance Pool, dealing an amount of damage up to the damage just dealt to you by that creature. This damage is considered magical for overcoming resistances or immunities to non-magical attacks.
