Base Class: Barbarian
The pits are a dangerous place, but also quite a profitable one... You know this extremely well, and you were honed and molded by those fight pits, making a name for yourself for your abilities there.
Pit grit
When you choose this path at 3rd level, your fists become mightier than many well made weapons. Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage on a hit. If you have two free hands, they deal 1d8 bludgeoning damage instead. Once you reach 10th level in this class, these numbers are increased to 1d8 for one hand and 1d10 for two.
Additionally, while raging, you gain the following benefits:
- When you take the attack action on your turn and hit with an unarmed strike, you may immediately use your bonus action to make an additional unarmed strike. This additional strike adds your rage bonus damage twice to it instead of once.
- While not wielding any equipment in either hand, and wearing light or no armor, you gain temporary hit points equal to your rage damage bonus at the start of each of your turns.
Known carouser
Additionally at 3rd level, your reputation is known enough to where you can find accomodation for yourself and your allies much more easily. You have advantage on checks made to persuade lowlife humanoids and criminals who frequent places that would host pitfights.
Knuckle down
weights into your punches. Your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage
Additionally, the bonus attack you get from Pit Grit now has a bonus to hit equal to half your proficiency bonus (Rounded down)
Bone breaker
Starting at 10th level, your strikes begin to rock your foes whole being. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you may force them to make a Constitution saving throw DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Strength Modifier)
On a failed save, they suffer additional bludgeoning damage equal to your rage bonus damage, and are stunned until the start of your next turn.
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength Modifier (Minimum of 1), regaining all expended uses upon completing a long rest.
Haymaker
Once you reach 14th level, being seemingly close to down is just what you want your enemies to think. As an action while you are below a quarter of your maximum HP, you may unleash your brutal finishing strike.
Make an unarmed strike, the attack roll will apply to all creatures of your choice in a 15-foot cone. The damage of this special attack is equal to a quarter of your hit point maximum (Rounded up). Creatures in the direct center of the cone instead take damage equal to half of your hit point maximum (Rounded up) if they are hit by the attack
Once you use this feature, your rage immediately ends if you were in one, and you can not use this attack again until you complete a long rest.
